There were a lot of memorable moments on The Bachelor season 25's The Women Tell All. Fans were reunited with favorite ladies Abigail Heringer and Katie Thurston, Matt James got closure from Serena Pitt after she sent herself home from the competition, and "Queen" Victoria Larson was "literally" called out for over-using a certain word. However, something else has been the main topic of conversation on social media: Matt's shockingly massive beard. Bachelor Nation is not feeling the facial hair and believes it's proof that the 29-year-old is currently a single man.

When Matt issued a statement denouncing contestant Rachael Kirkconnell's Old South Ball attendance, rumors began swirling that he picked her in the end but broke things off when her past came to light. He called the photos of Rachael at the racist fraternity party "incredibly disappointing" and said he will "continue to process this experience, and you will hear more from me in the end." It's believed he will speak about the split on the upcoming After The Final Rose. Additionally, the fact that Rachael doesn't follow any Bachelor-related Instagram pages, including Matt, caused further speculation that they're not in a relationship.

While the above-mentioned seem to be tell-tale signs of Matt's solo status, his woodsman-esque beard gave Bachelor Nation all the proof it needed. On Twitter, Women Tell All viewers didn't hold back when it came to roasting him. They referred to his facial hair as "definitely a breakup beard" that's "going to give all these ladies the closure they need to move on." One fan said, "If Serena P. was questioning whether she made the right decision by dumping Matt, the beard definitely reassured her that she made the right choice." Though fans swooned over Matt when he was first named The Bachelor, compliments were pretty much non-existent on his updated look.

Tweets about the "breakup beard" are laughable. But if Bachelor Nation is correct about Matt being single, he was likely going through a difficult period in his life around the time Women Tell All was filmed. Either he and his alleged pick Rachael were already broken up, or the relationship was about to end. As the first Black Bachelor and the first lead to not previously appear in the franchise, there was extra pressure on Matt. But at the end of the day, he just wanted to find a soulmate like anyone else. Sadly, it seems he picked incorrectly. Maybe Heather Martin will get her chance with Matt after all.
