It’s been months since Kelley Flanagan and Peter Weber, former lead of The Bachelor, ended their relationship, but Kelley recently revealed more details about their bitter breakup. The couple was the biggest surprise to come out of Peter’s dumpster-fire season, and when they split, fans were surprised. However, Kelley got candid about why and how they broke up, as well as why their brief reconciliation didn’t work out. From her account, things didn’t end well for Kelley and Peter, and there’s no way that they’ll be getting back together.

Kelley and Peter actually met by chance before he started filming The Bachelor, and when she stepped out of the limo on his first night on the job, it seemed like fate. Peter ended up saying goodbye to Kelley before hometowns, but after his relationship with Madison fizzled out after the finale, Peter and Kelley decided to give it another go. They dated for several months, but ultimately the couple split at the end of 2020

On the Chicks in the Office podcast, Kelley revealed that her relationship with Peter was troubled from the start. She said that Peter had many interests, like partying and video games, that she didn’t share. "There was a while where I was trying to convince myself that that’s what I liked and I was like, 'Alright, Kelley, let’s be honest with yourself. Does that add up for you?'" she commented. Ultimately, the couple decided to call it quits, but while Kelley wanted to wait to tell the world, Peter jumped the gun. “I asked him not to do it on New Year’s,” she said, but “he had to do it in 2020.”

After their breakup, Peter and Kelley were spotted together, and she said they reunited on Valentine’s Day. “I came [to visit] for Valentine’s Day, we had a great Valentine’s Day together,” she commented, but added that things quickly went south. “It ended really badly,” she said. “I essentially went off on him. I ended up leaving New York and going to one of my girlfriend’s houses and hanging out with her. He texted me, I didn’t respond and then found some news out that I wasn’t happy about...I went off and essentially said, like, 'Get the hell out of my life.' It ended really badly.”

From the sounds of it, Peter isn’t ready to give up his Bachelor ways and settle down just yet, but that hasn’t stopped him from reaching out to Kelley. “He messaged me the other day and I’m just not responsive,” she commented. Peter may try to make nice with her via text, but Kelley continues to get word of his single life exploits, including hearing about who he’s been hooking up with. Thankfully, Kelley knows what she wants (and what she doesn’t want), so she’s strong enough to not take Peter back.

Kelley and Peter didn’t work out on The Bachelor and they haven’t worked out in real life either. There were serious compatibility issues between the two of them, and Kelley and Peter’s relationship seems to be done for good. It’s probably for the best, Peter isn’t ready for marriage and Kelley is ready for something more serious. It would appear that Peter has worn out his welcome in Kelley’s heart, and she’s ready to move on with her life and find someone better for her.
