The Bachelor season 27 host Jesse Palmer announced that his cousin, country singer Griffen Palmer, will perform his latest single in the next episode of Zach Shallcross' season. Griffen signed a record deal with Big Loud Records in January. In 2020, he was a contestant in Songland season 2, a songwriting competition series. On that show, he collaborated with country singer Shane McAnally and Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard to write the ballad "Second Guessing." Griffen won the episode, and the song was released as a single.

In an Instagram post, Jesse announced the "big news" that Griffen will perform "Second Guessing" during the February 6 episode of The Bachelor.

The Bachelor's Jesse Palmer shared a video of Griffen telling his followers that he had a surprise for them. Griffen said, "It was super exciting bringing this song back to TV where it all started, and it was really fun surprising my cousin, Jesse, who hosts the show." Griffen encouraged viewers to tune in to the episode for the performance and "a little Palmer family takeover."

In the caption of the Instagram post, Jesse gushed, "Griffen is incredibly humble and has worked SO HARD throughout his career. I'm thrilled that people are getting to see how talented he is!!!" He added the hashtags, "#ProudCousin" and "#BachelorNation." "Second Guessing" is the perfect song for Zach Shallcross' Bachelor season. The lyrics tell the story of a person who has not spent one second guessing if his love is true.

Many music artists have appeared on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette since the show began. They usually perform private concerts on one-on-one dates. During The Bachelorette season 3, Vanessa Williams sang for Jen Schefft and Fabrice Le Pare, while Robin Thicke performed for The Bachelor season 13 star Jason Mesnick and Jillian Harris. In addition, Jake Pavelka and Ali Fedotowsky danced to a live performance from Train in The Bachelor season 14. During The Bachelorette season 8, country music legend Dolly Parton performed a song that she wrote for Emily Maynard and Arie Luyendyk Jr. when they visited Dollywood on a date. Other notable singers to appear on Bachelor Nation shows throughout the years include Colbie Caillat, Boyz II Men, The Cranberries, Big & Rich, and The Backstreet Boys.

The Bachelor music performances are usually very romantic as the couples fall in love to the songs of some of the most popular singers in music. Griffen's appearance will be very special since he has a connection to Jesse. It will be exciting to see which lucky woman has the opportunity to join Zach on this date. Griffen's return to TV to sing "Second Guessing" to help two people fall in love is a beautiful thing.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
