With Bachelor in Paradise season 7 over and a handful of new engagements and relationships no longer being kept secret, it's time to revisit some of the best couples from the past six seasons. This trip down memory lane will remind BIP fans of some of the show's most memorable moments. On the heels of Bachelor Pad, no one really expected Bachelor in Paradise to be such a huge success, and one of the secrets of the series' longevity is its dynamic duos.

The show, which first premiered in August of 2014, has become a place of redemption for Bachelor Nation villains, as well as first-night contestants and unlucky fan favorites. With more and more cast members each season, Bachelor in Paradise has continued to bring fans endless drama, laughs, and heartbreak. Of course, there have also been a few happily ever afters.

While the newest Bachelor in Paradise engagements and relationships are being celebrated, the couples who came before them and found love in Mexico deserve to be honored as well. Whether or not their relationships lasted more than a year or so after BIP, these pairs have had a lasting impact on the show. They've helped to solidify Bachelor in Paradise's place as the franchise's most successful show.

Lacy Faddoul & Marcus Grodd

At the start of any new reality show, it's bound to be a rocky ride, and BIP season 1 was no exception. With only 25 contestants on the beach, including future The Bachelorette lead Clare Crawley and repeat contestant Chris Bukowski, the first season of Paradise still managed to end with an engagement. After 5 weeks of dating, the Bachelor in Paradise woman Lacy and Marcus took their relationship to the next level with a proposal. The couple married a year later, in a televised ceremony with the cast of season 2 in attendance. However, in 2016, Lacy and Marcus revealed that they had gone their separate ways. In July of that same year, Marcus shared that they had never been legally married in Mexico. While their relationship didn't survive outside of Bachelor in Paradise, they showed fans a glimpse of what future Paradise relationships could be like.

Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert

Although fans didn't see much of their relationship during season 2, Jade and Tanner made the most of their time in Mexico. The couple, who were the only ones from season 2 to get engaged in 2015, married less than a year later. The future BIP parents' wedding was televised for The Bachelor at 20: A Celebration of Love. Jade and Tanner later became the first Paradise couple to officially wed, after it was revealed that Lacy and Marcus' wedding in Mexico the year before had not been legal. While they didn't cause much drama during season 2 and don't often find themselves in the news, Jade made headlines back in July of 2019. She got press after she gave birth to the couple's first son Brooks in a master closet. They are also parents to 4-year-old Emerson and 11-month-old Reed.

Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon

The "will they or won't they" Bachelor in Paradise couple, Ashley I. and Jared finally announced their relationship in 2018, after meeting in Paradise three years earlier. The popular BIP couple, who broke up in week 5 of season 2, tried their luck again the following season but left before the finale. Fans were finally able to see Jared get down on one knee in Mexico during season 5, much to the dismay of Ashley's ex, Kevin Wendt, with whom she won The Bachelor Winter Games. A little over a year later, Ashley and Jared tied the knot in August of 2019, in Jared's home state of Rhode Island. The pair are currently expecting their first BIP child together, a baby boy who is due in February. They are working on opening a coffee house and lounge in South Kingston, Rhode Island.

Carly Waddell & Evan Bass

In the surprising "slow-burn" relationship of Season 3, Carly Waddell and Evan Bass found love. The season ended with Evan getting down on one knee. The couple tied the knot in Mexico a year later, in June of 2017, while Carly was unknowingly pregnant with their first child. They later announced the news as season 4 was premiering, and welcomed their daughter Isabella six months later, in February of 2018. Carly and Evan then welcomed their second child (and Evan's fourth son) Charles in November of 2019. Unfortunately, after 3 years together, they separated, with Carly taking sole custody of their children. The couple, although no longer together, are still on speaking terms, which fans saw when Evan accompanied Carly to the hospital following a medical emergency.

Raven Gates & Adam Gottschalk

Although Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk made it to the end of season 4, they left Paradise without getting engaged, as they felt they needed to spend more time together before taking the next step in their relationship. Two years later, after four months of planning, Adam popped the question in the spring of 2019. The couple set their sights on a May 2020 wedding, but as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they had to postpone the ceremony four different times. They were finally able to say "I do" earlier this year. The couple married in an intimate and interfaith ceremony this past April. They are currently expecting their first child together, and the "honeymoon baby" is due in late January.

Astrid Loch & Kevin Wendt

Kevin Wendt Astrid Loch

After meeting and dating during Season 5, Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt went their separate ways before reconnecting in September of 2018. A few months later, Astrid moved to Canada to be with Kevin. Less than a year later, Kevin got down on one knee and proposed to Astrid. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they postponed their November 2020 nuptials until the following year. The couple once again postponed their nuptials after announcing earlier this year that they will be welcoming their first child into the world in November. Astrid and Kevin had infertility problems, so they are overjoyed about the pregnancy.

Hannah Godwin & Dylan Barbour

Coming from a season that ended with three engagements, one of which included the franchise's first LGBTQ+ couple, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour are one of the two couples still standing from Season 6. After getting engaged during the finale, Hannah and Dylan spent the beginning of their relationship outside of the Bachelor bubble, in a long-distance relationship between San Diego and Los Angeles. After a year of living apart and traveling to see one another, the couple bought their first home together in San Diego in October of 2020. The BIP alums are planning a 2023 wedding.

Hannah and Dylan dealt with little drama during the beginning of their relationship, but Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert were definitely one of the most memorable couples of season 6. While Dean had doubts during Bachelor in Paradise, the couple is still going strong two years later. They now own a home together outside of Las Vegas and have adopted a senior rescue dog, but Bachelor franchise fans shouldn't get their hopes up for an engagement anytime soon. According to Dean, producers tried to persuade him to propose to Caelynn during the Bachelor in Paradise season 7 finale, to no avail.
