On the Bachelor In Paradise finale, Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs' breakup was one of the most dramatic of the season, and fans are wondering if Becca and the former The Bachelorette villain have reconciled. Viewers were shocked when Becca fell for Thomas on Bachelor In Paradise, and they were even more surprised when Becca suddenly ended things with him in the finale. But after the show, the couple has decided to give their relationship another shot, and their social media activity indicates they’re closer than ever.
Thomas gained a bad reputation on Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette as a there-for-the-wrong-reasons contestant. However, he had better luck at love on BIP, starting when he stole Tammy Ly away from Aaron Clancy. Then, when Becca showed up, Thomas quickly found his attention shift to the former Bachelorette, and after a romantic date, the two started exchanging roses. For a while, it seemed like Thomas was a good guy for Becca, but in the finale, Becca blindsided Thomas, breaking up with him because she felt he was too good to be true. Thomas was heartbroken, and the couple appeared to be done.
However, the end of episode updates revealed that Thomas and Becca are back together after their initial BIP breakup. On Instagram, Becca apologized to Thomas, commenting, “I’m sorry for breaking up with you on national television, but I’ll take every day to make it up to you, Tommy.”
There’s no denying Becca hurt Thomas when she blindsided him, but she still wants to make their relationship work in the real world. After Becca’s difficult breakup with Garrett Yrigoyen, her former fiancé, her heart was likely a little guarded, so it makes sense that she initially had walls up around Thomas. Thomas was eager to give their relationship another go, though he didn’t miss his opportunity to throw Becca a little lighthearted shade on Instagram. “I feel safe with you,” Thomas said. He then went on to say that he feels as though nothing could go wrong in their relationship. He then thanked Becca for being a person he can trust will never hurt him. Though the sarcasm was strong with this one, the two are clearly in love, and Thomas also commented on another post, "I love you @bkoof. Happy first day of the rest of our lives."
The Bachelor In Paradise couple seems to be going strong, and though Thomas started out as a Bachelorette villain, he’s since rehabbed his image and found love with a different Bachelorette. Despite their ups and downs, Becca and Thomas are closer than ever, and perhaps all it took was some time away from the cameras.
