Chris Harrison confirmed Peter Weber is doing just fine after nearly splitting his face open while shooting for the new season of The Bachelor. The ABC reality series host reassured fans the accident wasn't as bad as what was reported.

Weber has been cast as the next Bachelor for winter 2020. The new season has started production, and the cast and crew are already traveling to other countries for dates. The new leading man for ABC's hit reality TV show was rushed to an emergency room after an accident happened while on location in Costa Rica. A source told Radar Online that the fan-favorite went to step on a golf cart, but ended up falling and splitting his face open on two cocktail glasses that he was carrying. That said, he is reportedly doing OK and production has already started filming again.

The franchise star did need stitches, but he is "100% OK," Harrison reassured on his Instagram. Weber has wasted no time after his injuries and is already continuing his search for love after getting out of the hospital. Production started filming again on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after Weber's freak accident. The next Bachelor recovered quickly and was seen on a date later that Tuesday. The source said his injuries are not as bad as what was being reported, and Harrison comforted Bachelor Nation by writing on Instagram that Weber is "still the dashing, handsome pilot we've all dreamed of."

Weber, also known as, "Pilot Pete," was a standout on Hanna Brown's season of The BacheloretteBachelor Nation was already swooning over him due to his profession, being a commercial pilot. And who could forget him and Brown having sex in the windmill during their fantasy suite date - four times! His announcement of being the next Bachelor came during the Bachelor in Paradise finale in August. Weber beat out other fan favorites Mike Johnson and Tyler Cameron for the spot.

Weber wasn't everyone's first choice for season 24 of The Bachelor. Cameron was the top pick, but he was rumored to be in a relationship at the time with supermodel GiGi Hadid. Since then, Cameron and Hadid have split. Johnson was also in the running, and a lot of fans were supportive of him to be the next bachelor, but even he thought Weber would be the next choice. He said that Weber is the safe choice because he looks like the typical pick for The Bachelor.

The Bachelor will premiere in January 2020.
