In the eyes of fans, new revelations about former The Bachelor lead Peter Weber have cemented his status as the messiest lead there’s ever been. Between his on-screen behavior and off-screen poor decisions, Peter’s made one relationship mistake after another, and most people think that's because he doesn’t know what he wants. Peter is one of the most disliked leads in Bachelor Nation, and his legacy is all about indecision and immaturity. One day, Peter may figure out what he wants, but until then, he should stay far away from the franchise.

After having his heart broken on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, the popular pilot and windmill enthusiast was named the next Bachelor. Once his season began, the criticism started to roll in. Peter didn’t appear to be very decisive, and he let the drama between the women in the house get out of control. His decisions at the end of the season were derided, and many fans were shocked to recently learn that Peter was hooking up with Hannah around the same time. After being entangled with Hannah Brown, Hannah Ann Sluss, Madison Prewett, and Kelley Flanagan, Peter found himself in a love pentagon the likes of which Bachelor Nation had never seen.

The fact that Peter got involved in a quagmire of drama between multiple women isn’t too surprising, given what viewers saw on the show. As the lead, Peter was considered a hot mess. By the end of the season, he seemed to have decided on Madison. However, after her self-elimination, Peter immediately pivoted to Hannah Ann, proposing to her while conveniently neglecting to tell her that she was his backup choice. The Bachelor’s re-direction didn’t last long, and by the time he appeared on After the Final Rose, Peter professed his love for Madison. That relationship quickly crumbled as well, and that wasn’t a shocker in light of their glaring incompatibility.

If viewers thought After the Final Rose was as messy as things would get, they were very much mistaken. It turns out that around that time, he was hooking up with Kelley and Hannah. Peter was getting cozy with Hannah while his season was airing, but all the while, he was also actively pursuing Kelley. Clearly, Peter doesn’t know what he wants, and he definitely isn’t ready to settle down any time soon. His careless bouncing around from woman to woman within Bachelor Nation isn’t a good look, so it made sense when Kelley revealed things ended badly with Peter.

With all the revelations about the former The Bachelor lead’s sloppy love life, it’s become clear that Peter never should have been the Bachelor at all. The show’s leads should be individuals who are at points in their lives where they’re ready to find their forever people. At best, Peter seems to be looking for a weekend person, so he is nowhere near ready to settle down. Peter’s indecision led him to become a messier lead than others like Arie Luyendyk and Jason Mesnick, and he’ll forever be remembered for his train-wreck relationships.
