Fans are worried Chris Harrison will be leaving The Bachelor after rumors began to circulate that he is moving to Texas.

Chris has been apart of the reality dating series franchise since the show aired in 2002. He has seen the ups and downs of the show and has even officiated some weddings for the contestants. Now fans are worried the show will be losing its one consistent part of the franchise.

Earlier this week, rumors began to circulate that the 49-year-old will be moving to a wealthy enclave in Austin, Texas. After the news broke of Chris' move from Los Angeles to Texas, fans took to social media to react to the news, reported Us Weekly. “I really hope he doesn’t leave because I love Chris Harrison but the only acceptable replacement would be Wells Adams,” one fan said on Twitter. Wells competed for JoJo Fletcher's heart on her season of The Bachelorette before becoming the bartender on Bachelor in Paradise. “I simply will not be okay with @chrisbharrison leaving bachelor nation ever,” another tweeted. One fan was mad Chris could potentially quit after the roller-coater of a year everyone has endured. “I SWEAR @chrisbharrison if you ruin the Bachelor after the year we’ve had,” the fan joked. Even those who aren't avid viewers of The Bachelor know Chris is a pop culture staple to the show. "I’ve only watched 1 season of the Bachelor but even I know Chris Harrison can’t leave that show,” one person chimed in. “He’s the heart and soul.”

Back in August when The Bachelorette was still filming, Chris was replaced by JoJo for a short period of time while he dropped off his son, Joshua, at college in Texas. A month later, JoJo teased her appearance on the show. “I jumped right into a mix of a whole bunch of things going on without really knowing anything that had gone on. So, it was definitely crazy,” she revealed on Us Weekly's Bachelor podcast.  “The episodes that I was a part of, I can tell you, are going to be very good...And it was fun.” While JoJo had fun replacing Chris for a short period of time, she knows nothing compares to him and his expertise. JoJo never wanted to try and be Chris, she just wanted to do her best and have fun with it. Many fans thought after JoJo replaced Chris for a short time, she would be one the one stepping in.

Fans do not have to worry as Chris will not be leaving his hosting duties behind, according to TMZ. While Chris does plan to move to Texas, he will be commuting to Los Angeles for the show.

The Bachelor premieres Monday January 4, 2021 at 8pm EST on ABC.
