Over the years, receiving the first impression rose on a season of The Bachelor has become a huge deal for both the contestants and the fans. However, only a select few women have been able to make that amazing first impression and receive a special rose on night one. The first impression rose recipients don't always win the show, but they still hold a special place in their respective seasons.

Bachelor Nation introduced the concept of a first impression rose in 2007, and Andy Baldwin was the first lead of The Bachelor to hand one out. Since then, producers have brought back the coveted first impression rose for every single season, and even brought the concept to The Bachelorette series as well. While it is true that first impression roses on The Bachelorette hold a lot more weight than on The Bachelor, it is still a big deal for a contestant to receive it.

Stephanie Tipper (Season 10)

The first-ever first impression rose was given out to Stephanie Tipper during Andy Baldwin's season of The Bachelor. The producers and the fans loved the concept, but it should be noted that things didn't go that well for Stephanie on the show. In fact, she was eliminated as early as week 4.

Jenni Croft (Season 11)

Jenni Croft was the first impression rose recipient on Brad Womack's first season as the lead of The Bachelor. She made it all the way to week 8, but was eliminated then. Nonetheless, Brad broke up with both of the final two women on the show, so it is hard to measure one's success in season 11.

Amanda Rantuccio (Season 12)

As a lead, Matt Grant handed out his first impression rose to Amanda Rantuccio on The Bachelor season 12. Despite the fact that Amanda got really far on the show, she was still eliminated in week 7, so her first impression wasn't enough to take her to the end.

Nikki Kaapke (Season 13)

The first impression rose on Jason Mesnick's season of The Bachelor went to Nikki Kaapke. On the other hand, she was subsequently eliminated on week 4, so Jason's impression about Nikki definitely did a 180-degree turn rather quickly on the show.

Tenley Molzahn (Season 14)

After receiving the first impression rose on Jake Pavelka's season of The Bachelor, Tenley Molzahn went on to become the runner-up of the season. At the time, Tenley became the highest-placing contestant in The Bachelor history to have received the first impression rose.

Ashley Spivey (Season 15)

On Brad Womack's second turn as The Bachelor, he handed out his first impression rose to Ashley Spivey. After such a promising start on the show, Ashley was eliminated on week 5, which means that things fizzled out very quickly for them on the show.

Lindzi Cox (Season 16)

Lindsey "Lindzi" Cox was awarded the first impression rose on Ben Flajnik's season of The Bachelor, and she then went on to become the runner-up of the season. Consequently, Lindzi tied with Tenley Molzahn as the highest-placing first impression rose recipient at the time.

Various Women (Season 17)

Catherine Giudici on The Bachelor

Due to a brand-new (and shortly-lived) twist, Sean Lowe was allowed to give out several first impression roses on his season of The Bachelor. The recipients were Catherine Giudici (who won the season), AshLee Frazier, Brooke Burchette, Desiree Hartsock, Diana Willardson, Jackie Parr, Katie Levans, Leslie Hughes, Robyn Howard, Sarah Herron, Selma Alameri, and Tierra LiCausi. As a result, Catherine Giudici became the highest-placing first impression rose recipient in the history of the franchise.

Sharleen Joynt (Season 18)

Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor was, as a whole, a huge mess. Alas, that season still had one of the strongest casts of contestants in the history of the franchise. On night one, Juan Pablo gave his first impression rose to Sharleen Joynt.

Britt Nilsson (Season 19)

Britt Nilsson was an undeniable standout on Chris Soules' season of The Bachelor, but she was still sent home on week 7. Following her reality TV debut, Britt almost became lead of The Bachelorette season 13 just a few months later. With that said, Kaitlyn Bristowe was ultimately chosen for that spot instead.

Olivia Caridi (Season 20)

During the landmark 20th season of The Bachelor, Ben Higgins gave out his first impression rose to Olivia Caridi. As the show moved forward, Olivia managed to make it halfway through the season. Unfortunately, however, she was still eliminated on week 6.

Rachel Lindsay (Season 21)

Rachel Lindsay is the only first impression rose recipient in the history of The Bachelor to then become The Bachelorette herself. While it is true that she was eliminated on week 9 of Nick Viall's season, Rachel did make a great first impression on night one. As a result, Rachel was picked to be the lead of The Bachelorette season 13, which is where she fell in love with and got engaged to Bryan Abasolo.

Chelsea Roy (Season 22)

It was often hard to understand the rationale behind Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s decisions on The Bachelor, but things weren't that confusing when his season first started. On night one, Arie handed out the first impression rose to Chelsea Roy, which set very high expectations for the contestant. However, Chelsea was then eliminated on week 6.

Hannah Godwin (Season 23)

Hannah Godwin

Colton Underwood took a particular liking to Hannah Godwin right away on The Bachelor season 23, and she made it through all the way to the final three. The fans thought that she had a chance at winning the season, but Colton broke up with her and Tayshia Adams in the end so that he could convince Cassie Randolph to come back to the show to be with him.

Hannah Ann Sluss (Season 24)

Tied with season 17 winner Catherine Giudici, Hannah Ann Sluss is one of the highest-placing first impression rose recipients of all time. She was handed out the first impression rose by Peter Weber on The Bachelor season 24, and then went on to win the show. Unfortunately, however, the relationship between Peter and Hannah was very short-lived once the show wrapped.

Abigail Heringer (Season 25)

Abigail Heringer received the first impression rose on Matt James' season of The Bachelor, making her the latest recipient to get added to this list. The viewers were really on board with Abigail going far on the show, but she was unfortunately eliminated by Matt on week 7. Alas, Bachelor Nation still shows a lot of support to Abigail at every turn, with many fans even campaigning for her to get another shot at love on Bachelor In Paradise.
