Right before signing on for The Bachelor season 26, Salley Carson was reportedly supposed to be getting married. She is one of the contestants to vie for the heart of Clayton Echard, who was revealed as the lead earlier this month. The season has already started filming.

After lots of rumors about the next Bachelor's identity, Clayton's casting was a bit of a surprise. Many assumed that it would be one of the men from Katie Thurston's The Bachelorette season. Instead, producers went with Clayton. Bachelor Nation will first meet the former football player as a contestant on Michelle Thomas' season. Then he'll be the first Bachelor since Matt James' controversial run. It is, of course, too early to tell if Clayton's will have similar drama. But it's interesting that season 26 is already earning headlines.

The news was tweeted out by the king of Bachelor spoilers, Reality Steve. The shocking revelation came out as he was tweeting the names and IG handles of Clayton's contestants. On Saturday, September 25, Reality Steve tweeted, "Hearing a ton of stuff already about these women, but this one has me floored: Salley Carson was engaged & having her bachelorette party a month ago." As if that wasn't strange enough, he continued, "She was set to be married TOMORROW but wedding was called off a couple weeks ago. Now she’s on the Bachelor ha ha." Naturally, this timeline raised some eyebrows. There were also some "not here for the right reasons" jokes in response. The tweet included a screenshot of the Crate & Barrel wedding registry page, as well as an IG post from Salley's bachelorette party.

Reality Steve's predictions haven't always been correct. The blogger previously admitted to getting Katie Thurston's final 4 wrong. However, very few exceptions aside, his intel is almost always right. And it's hard to argue with this photographic evidence.

While it's possible Salley and her fiancé did break-up, the rushed timeline is very suspicious. The registry page and social media posts are still up, which doesn't help. One thing's for sure, Salley did not do a great job hiding the receipts. Between this reveal and Reality Steve's tease about the other women, it looks to be another unforgettable season of the long-running reality franchise.

Fans may have to wait a little bit before they see how this revelation unfolds on The Bachelor season 26. But Clayton already has Tayshia Adams' seal of approval. Meanwhile, Michelle's season of The Bachelorette will premiere on October 19.
