Chris Harrison believes that Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor will be the most dramatic installment to ever come out of the franchise. While the host uses his "most dramatic" mantra to promote every Bachelor Nation show, Harrison seems fully convinced that Weber's ending will truly shock fans of the show, which is a difficult accomplishment after so many years on the air.

Weber's season officially took off on January 6 with a three-hour premiere episode. Also known as Pilot Pete, the premiere included plenty of clever references to Weber's job in aviation, as well as an entire barrage of statements regarding Weber's night in a windmill with Hannah Brown. While the first episode is often slow-moving and fairly uninteresting, focusing primarily on introducing the women to the audience, Weber's first episode brought plenty of drama, particularly in the return of former Bachelorette Hannah Brown. While Brown appeared on the show with the intention of hosting a date and encouraging Weber, old feelings resurfaced that both Weber and Brown struggled to deal with. They talked about the end of their relationship, and Weber even asked Brown to join the women in the house. Despite the highly dramatic premiere, however, host Chris Harrison says there's much more drama in store for the rest of Weber's season.

While talking to Us WeeklyHarrison made it clear that fans should expect some brand new drama from Weber's season. Comparing Weber's journey to past seasons of Bachelor Nation shows, Harrison said, "You look at Colton Underwood‘s season and that was crazy for how it went down. Hannah Brown's season was crazy, in a totally different way. Now Peter Weber‘s season is unpredictable and riveting in another way and we don’t see it coming." Harrison went on to explain that no one - not the producers, Weber, or Harrison himself - knew what was coming in Weber's season. When asked about the finale of the show, Harrison described it as "gut-wrenching." "Inevitably, something happens we’ve never dealt with before," he said, teasing an ending that will shock and surprise fans of the show.

The Bachelor Peter Weber

At the start of the season premiere last week, the show did something it's never done before. Rather than jumping into how amazing Weber is, the producers included a flash forward that showed Harrison talking with Weber, seemingly before he hands out the final rose. "There’s something I just found out," Harrison says to Weber. The clip immediately cuts to a shocked and confused Weber laying down, surrounded by crew members. We hear Weber saying, "It’s just like the last thing I needed to hear" before seeing a clip of Weber's highly distraught mother crying and telling her son to "bring her home to us.” If that's what Harrison is referring to as the "gut-wrenching" finale, it certainly appears that something  big happened at the end of Weber's journey.

While Harrison certainly seems excited about the ending of Weber's season, his comments don't necessarily mean that this season will be entirely out of the norm. This franchise is known for sneaky misdirects that turn innocuous moments into dramatic issues that get people talking. Every year, the trailers include references to drama and heartbreak, and every year the season follows much the same format. However, the past few seasons of the franchise have differed from the norm slightly. Colton Underwood ending the show early to be with Cassie and Hannah Brown's dramatic saga with Luke P. changed the format of the show and excited fans. It's possible that Weber's season holds the potential to be the "most dramatic season ever," but we just won't believe it until we see it.
