Players can now purchase a statue of the beloved Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian for their lawn or home in The Sims 4. He was added into the game during its most recent update, which went live on December 12 alongside The Sims 4's holiday event.

Baby Yoda took the world by storm last month when he premiered in the Disney+ exclusive Star Wars spin-off series The Mandalorian. The little guy is not a younger version of Yoda himself, but instead another creature of the same species. However, as the name of the species is unknown, he became affectionately known as Baby Yoda by fans. He's inspired some great fan art, memes, merchandise, and was even featured in TIME Magazine's People of the Year issue.

According to a tweet from The Sims' official account, Baby Yoda is now available to buy as a statue for players to place around their home, and all they need to go is go to the game's Build/Buy mode and purchase him for 504 Simoleons, The Sims' in-game currency. In the store, Baby Yoda is simply called "The Child," which is also how he is referred to in episodes of The Mandalorian, and is described as "a lovable replica." He is categorized in the shop as an Environment item, meaning players can place him pretty much wherever they want, including on their yards or in their homes.

EA owns both The Sims and the license for all Star Wars games, so this crossover was bound to happen eventually. It seems as though Disney wasn't aware Baby Yoda would cause such as stir, as consumers were surprised there initially wasn't any Baby Yoda merchandise available at all leading up to the holidays, or even a Disney+ icon for users to customize their profiles with. The demand was so high, even toys of the original Yoda quickly sold out. Now that Disney has caught on, however, Baby Yoda is just about everywhere, and has even gone on to become the best-selling toy of the holiday season, to no one's surprise.

Featuring Baby Yoda in The Sims 4 seems pretty random, especially without any other The Mandalorian crossovers to be seen, but who could really complain? He's easily the best thing to come out of Star Wars in years, possibly even all time, as proven by his wide appeal to those who haven't even watched the show to begin with. Fans want to see as much of Baby Yoda as possible, so having him in their virtual homes as well as their real homes is a surefire win for everyone.
