Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a popular and beloved show featuring many couples who are dedicated to each other. Holt & Kevin: Efficient And Officiant
Kevin finds humor in the things Holt says even though most around them don't. Holt likes being "quippy" to Kevin even though he doesn't to most others. They both find humor in each other in ways that are invisible to the rest of the characters. Holt's heartwarming little speech at the Boyle-Linetti wedding also points to this. Whenever this couple appears together on screen, viewers know they're in for a treat. The episode also talks about how fast they had gotten married without all the celebration, and yet how much they loved it. A Kevin-Holt renewal of vows episode would be amazing for fans.
Terry & Sharon: "Ava"
The new addition to the Jeffords family was fraught with many difficulties. Even though the couple is not together through most of the episode, viewers can see the true partnership in their relationship. They are both strong individuals, but they work together as a team. They had made precise plans on how to go about things as well. Even though situations make it difficult, viewers see the love and pure affection they have for each other. The arrival of baby Ava is a joyous occasion for them as well.
Holt & Kevin: They Fight And They Make-Up
Holt takes the "honeypot" to the barrel museum to distract him. Jake and Holt suspect the new assistant to be a spy and Holt is forced to take him out. Jake doesn't realize the tension and chemistry there which Holt rightly figures out. Kevin on hearing this tries to be fine with it but is angry upon seeing the guy's picture. Holt ends up having to sleep in the guest room for this "debasement."
They quickly make-up and Holt announces happily to Jake how he hadn't slept a wink the previous night. This is one of those episodes where Holt talks about his relationship with Kevin in a manner that seems very real and also very funny.
Terry & Sharon: Getting Terry Back On The Field
Viewers first meet a Terry who is on desk-duty because of his "incidents." After his children are born, he is always on the edge when he's on the field. But this changes when he throws himself at the perp to save the Captain. Blissfully unaware of the situation Sharon finds out, in multiple iterations from Holt and Terry, what actually went down. While Terry wanted to make sure Sharon wasn't too worried, Sharon points out how she'll always be worried. But in a poignant moment, she says that if he thinks he's ready, then he's ready.
Holt & Kevin: Holt Lies To Kevin About Being Hurt
Police work is understandably risky and scary. And especially so for the loved ones. When Holt lies about his whereabouts, Kevin gets suspicious. Through some sleuthing Jake finds out what happens. But Holt tells them both the whole story including the part where he gets lightly stabbed. Kevin is very upset that Holt kept this away from him in order to not frighten him. Kevin tells Holt that he wants to know everything that happens, and especially the frightening things. They both make-up and it's wonderful to see this cute couple back together again.
Terry & Sharon: "You Are Perfect"
Things are tense at the Jeffords household where he struggles to achieve the balance between work and family. Christmas Eve is one such occasion and the entire squad is commanded to not call him unless there's an emergency. When Jake does end up calling him for an emergency, Terry realizes what needs to be done.
While Zeke, his brother-in-law, who is already on his nerves makes fun of him, Terry lashes out at him. But even in the midst of this, Terry can't help but exclaim his love for his wife saying how perfect she is before running out to save his squad.
Holt & Kevin: The Story Behind Gertie
When Holt sees Jake and Amy fighting, he calls upon Jake to give him some relationship advice. He then goes on to the say the story behind Gertie. Kevin and Holt used to live 2 hours away from each other by train, but only half an hour by driving. A car would make their relationship infinitely easier. But Holt was unwilling to buy a car because that would show that he was very serious about their relationship. Kevin however takes the leap of fath and shows up at Holt's doorstep having bought Gertie. This story of their early romance is a mark of the strength of their relationship.
Terry & Sharon: Meatloaf
Terry doles out some dating advice to Jake who seems to have struck out with Katie. Jake mentions his failing dating life and Terry tries to explain how maybe the fault is with him. He tells Jake to talk about his non-work interests. And then he goes on to explain how on his first date with Sharon, all they talked about was their mutual love for Meatloaf - the singer, not the food. The smile and delight on Terry's face when he talks about his first date and Sharon shows how they are relationship goals.
Holt & Kevin: Amazing Dog-Parents To Cheddar
Cheddar is a much-beloved character on the show, having appeared on various occasions on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Kevin and Holt have great love and affection for their dog named Cheddar. When Jake and Amy, along with Charles, house-sit for Holt, we see how Cheddar (and Holt) both miss Kevin.
They love their dog to bits and it's adorable for viewers to witness. They shower each other and Cheddar with affection. Seeing Holt, Kevin, and Cheddar together, viewers realize what a tightly bound family unit they are.
Terry & Sharon: Amazing Parents
Terry and Sharon have three kids and they are wonderful parents to Cagney, Lacey, and Ava. Viewers see on many occasions the pride with which Terry talks about his girls. He does their hair for them, and has high aspirations and dreams for them. He even writes stories for them. Terry and Sharon form a strong team, they have an amazing partnership between them that makes them amazing parents to these kids. They are responsible, fun, and loving parents who go to great lengths to make their kids happy.
