Brittani Schwartz, better known as B-Lashes, revealed the surprisingly low amount she, along with the other cast members, were paid for being on Double Shot At Love. B-Lashes set out to find love on Double Shot at Love season 1 in 2019. Despite not having a romantic connection with either Pauly D or Vinny Guadagnino, B-Lashes formed many close friendships while on the show. She later returned for season 2 in 2020.
Double Shot At Love focused on finding the perfect matches for best friend duo Pauly and Vinny. Throughout the first season, both Pauly and Vinny found themselves having connections with some of the women. Despite them both leaving the season still single, Pauly ultimately found his new girlfriend on the show. Pauly and Nikki Hall began dating after filming for Double Shot At Love season 2 ended. Vinny, on the other hand, remains single.
B-Lashes Only Got $150 Per Episode On Double Shot At Love Season 1
In a recent TikTok video, B-Lashes exposed MTV for how little they paid her and the other female contestants on Double Shot At Love. In the video, B-Lashes explained that before joining the show, she had a salary job with benefits. She raved over how great the work-from-home, well-paying job was. Despite all of these things, B-Lashes quit her job to join the show, which she was only on ten episodes of. Even though there is a perception that reality stars get paid a large sum of money, B-Lashes was only paid $150 per episode, totaling $1,500 for the entire season.
Double Shot At Love Fans Bash B-Lashes For Complaining About Low Pay
After B-Lashes revealed her low pay for Double Shot At Love, Reddit user Competitive-Cup-290 and others in the thread were quick to bash her for complaining. Many believe that if B-Lashes had such a great job before the show, she should have never left it. It's assumed that she was aware of the low pay before agreeing to be on the show and shouldn't be complaining. One user wrote, "And you know how much Paulie, Snooki and the rest of the crew made their first season of Jersey Shore? Nothing!" Very few fans know that the cast of Jersey Shore was not paid for the first season of the original series.
B-Lashes did get a pay increase for the next season; however, it was still a low amount of approximately $500 per episode. Despite not being compensated a large amount of money for being on Double Shot At Love, B-Lashes does not regret leaving her well-paying job for the show. She has since been able to use her fame to grow a large fan base and her business. Even though she didn't end up finding love and wasn't paid that well, B-Lashes ultimately made a good decision by joining the cast of Double Shot at Love.
