[WARNING! VERY MINOR AVENGERS SPOILERS!]
The countdown to the U.S. release of Joss Whedon's The Avengers is upon us, and some of our friends abroad have had the opportunity to see the film, which is already breaking box-office records. Avengers of course follows the first rocky assembly of the superhero team that Sam Jackson's Nick Fury puts together.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Chris Evans (Captain America) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) to talk about the creation of the massive (yep) fight sequences with The Hulk, how their characters have evolved and where they see them going from here in their individual storylines.
Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, The Hulk and Thor must make a rough attempt to come together to defeat a fairly psychotic foe (Thor's brother Loki). The film brings the motley crew of heroes together, but as we know, Marvel already has the continuation of several of the individual character stories in the production pipeline.
Iron Man 3 begins shooting shortly, to be followed by Thor 2 which, theoretically, continues to explore Thor's push/pull between his duty to Asgard and his affection for Earth and Jane Foster. Captain America 2 will follow Steve Rogers as he continues to find his place in S.H.I.E.L.D while trying to adjust to this time period.
Be sure to also check out our video interview with The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).
Please don't post any major plot spoilers in the comments of our Avengers interview posts. If you want to chat about the film itself head over to our Avengers spoilers discussion.
The Avengers opens in theaters in the U.S on May 4th.
