Warning: SPOILERS for Avengers Beyond #1Marvel's Avengers Beyond series has introduced a new cosmic god that makes not just Galactus, but even the Beyonders, look weak in comparison. The Lost One existed "before the omniverse", and he is so powerful that he created the almighty Beyonders by imbuing them with "the tiniest fraction of his power".

In Avengers Beyond #1, by Derek Landy, Greg Land, Jay Leistein, and Frank D'Armata, the mysterious entity behind the events depicted in All-Out Avengers is finally revealed as the Beyonder. This classic Marvel villain, who orchestrated the first Secret Wars, is a member of a species called the Beyonders who are considered the most powerful creatures in the Marvel Universe. However, it turns out even the Beyonder can be afraid of something. He has been manipulating the Avengers' minds and reality only to prepare them to fight against the Lost One, an ancient all-powerful being who created the Beyonders before they rebelled and imprisoned him. Now that the Lost One is free, he wants his power back, and revenge against his rebellious creations.

The Lost One Could Have A Secret Connection With Galactus

The Lost One from Marvel Avengers Beyond

The panel showing the Lost One's original form, before he was imprisoned and drained of his power, depicts him as very similar to Galactus, hinting at a possible connection between the two. The Lost One shares Galactus' color scheme, a similar armor, and the energy spikes protruding from his head take a similar shape to that of Galactus' iconic helmet. However, judging from the Beyonder's story, the Lost One is in a whole other category of power compared to the Devourer of Worlds.

While Galactus is a member of Marvel's cosmic hierarchy and the wielder of the incredible Power Cosmic, he is not even the strongest of the cosmic beings. This title goes to the Living Tribunal, with Eternity standing right above him, but all these incredible characters were powerless against the Beyonders when they decided to destroy Marvel's Seventh Cosmos during 2015's Secret Wars. Even one Beyonder (the same who appears in this story) was enough to turn Galactus into his plaything during the original Secret Wars. The idea that the Beyonders possess only a tiny fraction of the Lost One's power is mind-blogging, and it turns Marvel's cosmology upside down.

The Lost One Has Turned Marvel's Cosmic Hierarchy Upside Down

The revelations in the first issue of Avengers Beyond have also changed the origins of the Beyonders, who had been established as creations of the Celestials in the recent Defenders: Beyond. It will also be interesting to see if the cosmetic similarities between the Lost One and Galactus are just a coincidence or if there is a deeper meaning behind them, but what's for sure is that, if the story of the Beyonder is true, this new marvel god is the most powerful that ever appeared.
