Warning! Spoilers for the current A.X.E.: Judgment Day event by Marvel Comics

Marvel's first mutant, Namor the Sub-Mariner, has a secret power that makes him one of the most dangerous Avengers heroes ever, as he's effectively immortal thanks to the X-Men's resurrection protocol. In the current A.X.E.: Judgment Day event from Marvel Comics, the general public has become aware that the mutants can resurrect their own. The news opens up the possibility that Namor the Sub-Mariner would be allowed to be resurrected now that he can't spill the beans about their previously kept secret.

Namor the Sub-Mariner is Marvel's oldest antihero, as he debuted in Marvel Comics #1 back in 1939. The King of Atlantis is part Atlantean, part human, and part mutant and has been both an ally and enemy of the Avengers in his storied comic book history. Recently, Namor joined Earth's Mightiest Heroes as the team became depleted after She-Hulk and Ghost-Rider departed. However, now, Namor is becoming even more dangerous, as the mutant's connection to the X-Men has given him an all-new superpower.

In the current A.X.E.: Judgment Day event from Marvel Comics, Marvel's mutants are dealing with the fallout about their resurrection protocol on Krakoa becoming public. Numerous protests take place asking how it's fair the X-Men are immortal, but those humans dealing with hardships and problems don't have the same chance at a second life. However, for Namor the Sub-Mariner, the resurrection protocol being revealed to the world is great news, as it now gives him the powers to become immortal. The X-Men would likely bring him back to the life after death now that the secret doesn't need to be kept.

Namor isn't an ally of Krakoa and is often viewed as one of the most dangerous "heroes" in the Marvel Universe. The chances that the X-men would have brought him to Krakoa and asked him to keep the secret of their resurrection protocols were slim, as he would likely use the information against them if needed. However, now that Cyclops has revealed the secret to the public and the world knows that mutants are functionally immortal under the protocols, the X-Men would probably be much more willing to resurrect Namor should he die. The news basically gives him the additional power of immortality.

The news about the X-Men using the resurrection protocol to become functionally immortal sent shockwaves across Krakoa. Still, for Namor the Sub-Mariner, it just unlocked his potential for an endless life, which might be the greatest power that the hero has ever had. So will Marvel's mutants allow the antihero passage on Krakoa to be resurrected? That remains to be seen, but at least he knows it's now possible.
