A range of new wall decals for Avengers: Infinity War have given fans their best look yet at Thanos's terrifying agents, the Black Order.

We're only weeks away from the theatrical release of Avengers: Infinity War. That means Marvel merchandise is flooding the internet, and it's frequently revealing some major plot twists. Hot Toys's action figures, for example, have given fans an in-depth look at the new Iron Man armor and Thor's new weapon, Stormbreaker. Now it's time for Fathead to get in on the act, revealing a stunning range of new wall decals.

Many of the Avengers images have been seen before, but the most exciting reveals are of Thanos's Black Order. Attentive fans will recognize the postures; Fathead have actually updated art that was associated with Marvel's discontinued Avengers Alliance Facebook game, modifying them to display the Infinity War costumes. Let's run through the key art:

First up is Corvus Glaive, Thanos's right-hand man. In the comics, Glaive is one of Thanos's most notable military leaders. A brilliant tactician, Glaive is often found leading Thanos's armies to victory. His weapon of choice is that powerful glaive, which can literally slice through anything in the universe. Fans were actually surprised when Corvus Glaive was confirmed for Infinity War; he bears a strong resemblance to The Other, a servant of Thanos introduced in The Avengers and killed off in Guardians of the Galaxy.

In the comics, Cul Obsidian is known as "Black Dwarf." He's a physical powerhouse who, as part of Jonathan Hickman's "Infinity" event, led Thanos's attack on Wakanda. The "Infinity" event seems to have had a strong influence on Infinity War, and the film's entire third act is an invasion of Wakanda. That means some fan-favorite scenes may well be recreated for the big screen.

Ebony Maw may not look particularly imposing, but he's actually one of the most dangerous members of the Black Order. Where the other members of the Black Order prefer to outfight their opponents, Ebony Maw loves to outthink them. In the comics, Ebony Maw was able to defeat Doctor Strange; he manipulated the Sorcerer Supreme into ravaging the Earth with mystical energies. Trailers and set photos have teased that Doctor Strange will wind up at Maw's dubious mercy. Even if Ebony Maw does manage to capture the Time Stone, it's by no means certain he'll hand it over to Thanos. In the comics, Ebony Maw had an agenda all of his own.

The Black Order's most fearsome combatant, Proxima Midnight is a skilled warrior. Her staff was forged by Thanos from a sun trapped in distorted space-time. It was powerful enough to take out the Hulk with one blow, drawing the Gamma energy from Bruce Banner's body. Proxima Midnight has become one of the most popular members of the Black Order; she served as a recurring villain during Jonathan Hickman's Avengers run. The trailers have suggested she'll lead Thanos's attempt to capture Vision, and will cross paths with Captain America and his team.

This particular piece of promotional art had been glimpsed before, initially leading fans to believe there was a fifth member of the Black Order. In reality, it's now clear this is a close-up of the MCU design for the Outriders, Thanos's genetically engineered warriors. These creatures are on the front line of the Battle of Wakanda, and the trailers have even teased them taking down a Hulkbuster. They're definitely not to be underestimated.

Given these images are adapted from the Avengers Alliance Facebook game, they may not be perfect representations of the MCU versions. At the same time, though, Fathead have clearly consulted with Marvel when conducting the redesigns, so they're a useful in-depth look for Avengers fans.
