Marvel Studios is in the midst of their busiest time yet with Black Panther currently filming in Atlanta and South Korea, plus Avengers: Infinity War and the Untitled Avengers sequel shooting concurrently across the globe. Due to the insanely large cast that will see almost every character from the films appear, the production process has been mixing and matching stars based on availability.

The Guardians of the Galaxy were some of the first members to report to set, but the Avengers 3 production announcement video showed that Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland were already on hand to reprise their roles as Iron Man and Spider-Man, respectively. That said, the tight security surrounding the project has so far not allowed any looks at scenes being filmed that feature the heroes in action. That has just changed however with Vision being spotted on set.

Someone has uploaded photos to Imgur from the set of Infinity War - which is currently filming in Edinburgh, Scotland - that features Vision reporting for duty. Due to the quality of the photo, it is impossible to tell whether or not this is Paul Bettany in costume, or if it's a stand-in or stunt double. That said, given the fact that Vision is a VFX enhanced character, it seems most likely that this is Bettany pictured here. Updated: More photos from the set have surfaced and reveal Scarlett Johansson on set as well.

The location of this photo appears to be similar to other rather insignificant set photos and videos for the film. This could confirm a previous Reddit user stating the upcoming scene would involve Iron Man, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and Black Widow. With Vision also a part of this scene, something rather big must be happening with some of the more powerful characters gathering.

Vision's appearance is far from a surprise, but this could be his final appearance depending on how these events unfold. He was created and has since been powered by the Mind Stone, but if Thanos is to complete his quest to gather all six Infinity Stones, ripping this one out of Vision's skull will be a necessity. There is always the chance that some other power source could keep Vision alive, or he could potentially still live without it, but not have his powers. Then again, depending on the outcome of the two films, he could always be brought back to life if/when Thanos is defeated.

Widow meanwhile appears to be undercover, which makes sense as she is wanted for turning on the Avengers during Civil War. This scene could be part of her recruitment to the bigger fight, or could see them on the run from one of the possible threats they'll face.
