Avengers: Infinity War is in the midst of a lengthy shoot in Scotland and has now seen the arrival of Chris Evans, but the departure of Anthony Mackie. While the initial start of filming on Infinity War took place in Atlanta with many of the Guardians, a second crew was sent off to Edinburgh, Scotland to gear up for another prominent portion of shooting. How this section of filming fits into the larger film is unknown, but so far it has featured a number of Team Cap members.

Vision (Paul Bettany) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) have been the stars of the shoot thanks to leaks coming out from the set, but other heroes have reportedly made their way to Edinburgh as well. With filming continuing, the crew has added Captain America just as Falcon leaves.

The Scottish Sun revealed that Chris Evans has arrived in Edinburgh to begin his portion of filming on Infinity War. While he started it off with a bit of partying, he may soon have to get a clean shave so he can look more like the Cap of old - unless he is trying to stay undercover. However, just as Cap arrives for filming, Mackie has revealed on Twitter that he is leaving Edinburgh as Falcon's role has wrapped (for now).

With Cap and Falcon now both confirmed to be involved with this portion of filming, it appears that of the Edinburgh scenes could very well be revolving around the rest of Team Cap. This location has yet to see Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, and Sebastian Stan visit (as far as we know), but with half the team being featured here there's the possibility of it being their hideout. This is only speculation of course and this section of filming could include many other surprise characters as well. The UK leg of the shoot will also bring the team to England, so it's sure to be an expansive story thread.

Even though the timing of Evans' arrival and Mackie's departure would make it appear as though they won't be featured in the same scenes here, they could have overlapped or be using body doubles for their characters' shared scenes. It's not clear if Mackie's finished filming for the film or just his part in Scotland, but with Infinity War and Avengers 4 no longer filming simultaneously he'll likely be back on set later this summer.
