An epic Avengers: Infinity War video shows a behind-the-scenes look at the fight between Scarlet Witch and Proxima Midnight. Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch has become a key part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since her debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron. She played a pivotal role in the final two Avengers movies, as well as Captain America: Civil War. Marvel is clearly invested in the long-term potential of Scarlet Witch, as she'll appear in both Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and her upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision. In that show, she'll reunite with Paul Bettany's Vision for a mashup of superhero and sitcom genres.

In Avengers: Infinity War, both Scarlet Witch and Vision are involved in a fight with Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive. The two villains attempt to take the Mind Stone powering Vision, with Proxima Midnight and Scarlet Witch facing off. During the impressive fight scene, the two weave around pillars as they attempt to best one another. Though the battle ultimately goes sideways for the heroes, Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon show up in the nick of time, allowing Vision and Scarlet Witch to escape with their lives. All told, it's one of the movie's most exciting moments, especially because Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive come so close to winning.

Earlier this week, Elizabeth Olsen's stunt double on Avengers: Infinity War, CC Ice, shared a behind-the-scenes look at preparation for the scene. In the video, she's seen executing the fight, with cardboard boxes standing in for pillars. Impressively, the clip includes Proxima Midnight and Scarlet Witch's powers, making the fight seem quite close to the version seen in the movie. Check out Ice's video below:

It's neat to see a behind-the-scenes look at such a key fight scene in the film. Scarlet Witch's powers are important to the MCU, with Marvel head Kevin Feige even calling her the franchise's strongest hero. This is clearly seen in both this video and throughout the Avengers films. Scarlet Witch has proven herself to be an asset to the other heroes. When WandaVision debuts later this year, it will be interesting to see how her fighting skills translate to the small screen.

Ice's video also brings attention to stunt performers and the importance of their jobs. Oftentimes, they're the unsung heroes of a project. This is especially true in superhero films, which often involve intense fight sequences like the one with Scarlet Witch and Proxima Midnight. Seeing what went into the scene only makes the final version in Avengers: Infinity War that much more impressive.
