Those who can't wait to see more footage from upcoming Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War are advised to tune to the Disney Channel tomorrow. While there are lot of big movie releases still on the way in 2018, perhaps none are more highly anticipated than Marvel Studios' mammoth team-up Avengers: Infinity War. Intergalactic villain Thanos has finally gotten off his throne and headed to Earth, and with his arrival comes the culmination of the entire MCU franchise to date.
Well, the first part of said culmination at least. After all, Avengers: Infinity War will be followed in 2019 by a still untitled fourth Avengers adventure, which will deal with the sure to be significant damage inflicted on Earth's mightiest heroes. The two films released between Avengers 3 and 4 - Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel - will both be set prior to Thanos' titanic battle with Iron Man, Captain America, and the rest of the formidable Avengers team.
Thanks to quick-thinking Youtuber Darius Bell, we now know that fans eager to see new footage from Infinity War - ie: pretty much everyone - should remember to switch to the Disney Channel tomorrow night, Friday, February 16. The network will be presenting its "Night of Heroes" - headlined by the debut of a new Disney Channel original movie called Zombies - and will treat viewers to an "exclusive look" at Infinity War. Looks at A Wrinkle in Time and The Incredibles 2 will also be presented. The original video containing that info can be seen above.
The "Night of Heroes" festivities begin at 8pm EST. Of course, there's no telling when exactly the new look at Avengers: Infinity War will be aired, so those interested will be forced to sit through a Disney Channel original movie. Some probably won't mind that, while others will be counting the minutes. Still, there's no rule that says those outside of the Disney Channel demographic can't mute their TVs during the actual movie, and it's really a small price to pay for more sweet, sweet Infinity War material.
That said, it's anyone's guess as to what amount of Disney Channel's "exclusive look" at Infinity War will be comprised of new footage. It could theoretically be 100 percent new footage, but that seems unlikely. More likely is a look that mixes together both new and already released footage from the film. Tune in tomorrow night to find out how things shook out.
