Fans built a functioning Iron Spider suit as seen in Avengers: Infinity War for San Diego Comic-Con later this week. Debuting at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming as Tony Stark's gift to Peter for officially joining the Avengers, the young hero opted to walk away from the opportunity, as well as the suit, choosing to become a friendly neighborhood hero in the meantime. But when the threat brought by Thanos and his minions, the Black Order, became apparent in Avengers 3, the Queens native had no choice but to sport the significantly upgraded costume as he battled the Mad Titan alongside his mentor and newfound allies on an alien planet.

Admittedly, the initial reaction to the suit was split when it was first officially confirmed for Infinity War. While it looks really cool, with all the bells and whistles that equipped Peter in battling Thanos, some weren't exactly happy that it seemed too early for him to sport such a high-tech suit, especially since he just got an upgraded one in Homecoming. Having said that, it can't be denied that through time, people eventually warmed up to the idea of Peter sporting the iconic armor - so much so that it's become a favorite cosplay inspiration for fans.

Those who will be attending this year's SDCC may stumble on a full Iron Spider suit - complete with four moving appendages. Created by Marvel fans with the username Lenses_Factor_HK over on Twitter, the nifty-looking suit only took a week to finish as the creators were on a tight schedule to make sure that it's done on time for the annual event later this week. Aside from the stingers, the costume also features blue glowing eyes. However, what makes it more impressive is that the wearer seems to be comfortable moving around despite wearing the full look. Check it out below:

The time and effort put into making such a nifty suit drew the attention of other Marvel fans - some of them even pointed out that Holland himself didn't wear the costume while filming Infinity War. Instead, the actor sported a CGI-suit that his co-star Robert Downey Jr does for Iron Man. Others, meanwhile, suggested that the creators join the Marvel cosplay contest (which is probably the case), while a few expressed how excited they are to see this specific cosplay at SDCC.

Regardless of how popular the Iron Spider suit has become thanks to Avengers: Infinity War, what's curious is if fans will still be able to see Peter sporting the same armor moving forward. Comic book movie heroes tend to change suits in every film (mainly due to merchandise reasons), but just in the last three MCU films that the web-slinging hero appeared in, his costume upgrades were pretty drastic. While this makes sense considering his close relationship with Tony Stark, fans probably won't be opposed to seeing the young hero use the same suit for a while - maybe even downgrade from the Iron Spider armor and use his Homecoming suit again, at least for his solo adventure in Spider: Man: Far From Home.
