Drax the Destroyer himself Dave Bautista hypes up fans with the witty banter between Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in Avengers: Infinity War. Worlds will collide when the film finally hits theaters next year promising a meeting of the beloved cosmic team and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, in the hopes of foiling Thanos' (Josh Brolin) universe-altering plans. And with so many characters crossing paths for the first time, fans are obviously excited about their first impressions with one another.

Infinity War is hoping to effectively translate the ensemble spectacles that comic book crossovers are known for. And as much as loyal followers of the MCU are excited about the big action set-pieces, the next thing most are hyped for is seeing these characters interact. And now, Bautista shares an expected but nonetheless welcome confirmation that two of the quippiest MCU characters will have some interesting conversations.

Speaking to Yahoo! Movies while promoting his latest film Bushwick, the actor talked about the improvisation Pratt and Downey Jr. had while filming Infinity War.

Infinity War

"I’m excited about some of the stuff we did, but I don’t know what’s going to make it in the film. I always thought there would be a lot of good interaction between Tony Stark and Drax, and there was. And Star-Lord and Tony Stark as well. When you put those two guys in a room together, it’s like a spontaneous combustion. Talk about two talented guys who are so witty and smart and honed-in on their craft. It was a spectacle, and I’m so excited I got to witness it firsthand."

Star-Lord is teased to have some fascinating banter with the "genius, billionaire, playboy, philantrophist," as well as Odinson himself, Thor. Co-director Joe Russo (who helms the film with his brother Anthony) previously revealed that the God of Thunder and the dancing Guardian surprisingly has some of the funniest bits in the movie.

That said, don't expect a lighthearted, comedic film for Avengers: Infinity War. The fight that the whole MCU is facing with the arrival of the mad Titan is by no means a walk in the park, even with almost all of the heroes coming together to take him down. Joe reiterated that stakes will be higher and deaths will be imminent. Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige himself said that some of the principal cast will meet their end in the movie, and presumably its 2019 sequel, the still untitled Avengers 4 which is now officially in production.
