After ten years of build-up, cosmic supervillain Thanos (Josh Brolin) is finally coming to Earth next month in Avengers: Infinity War, and a new international promo shows Thor (Chris Hemsworth) recruiting the Guardians of the Galaxy for the fight. Both the Avengers and the Guardians have fought Thanos indirectly in the past, with the Avengers taking on Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his army in their first outing, and the Guardians defeating Ronan the Destroyer (Lee Pace) in theirs. Now, however, they'll have to deal with the big purple guy himself - as well as his lieutenants.

Infinity War features a massive cast of characters from all corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) in particular playing a valuable role as he has the entire Wakandan army at his back. However, what fans are most looking forward to is seeing the Avengers and the Guardians interacting for the first time - especially after glimpsing a personality clash between Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) in the most recent full-length trailer.

This new Taiwanese promo for Avengers: Infinity War features a few snippets of new footage, and kicks off with Thor inviting the Guardians of the Galaxy to the fight against Thanos. Rocket (Bradley Cooper) jokes, "I think we'll pass," before declaring, "Just kidding. We're in." It's a pretty safe bet that this isn't actually a scene from the movie, but rather various bits of dialogue cobbled together, but it would be very in character for Rocket to make bad jokes in a dire situation.

Thor looking confused in Avengers: Infinity War

Although the Guardians of the Galaxy have a personal stake in the fight against Thanos, since he was Gamora's (Zoe Saldana) adoptive father, it also looks like the team will be providing a lot of the comic relief in Infinity War. Another recent TV spot showed the now-teenage Groot being scolded for his bad language (the language in question, as always, being "I am Groot"), while a clip aired during this year's Kids' Choice Awards revealed the moment that Thor (literally) lands on the Milano. Rocket is not impressed, but Drax definitely is.

The Avengers have some heavy-hitters on their team, but they're not strong enough to deal with Thanos by themselves. Speaking in an interview with Screen Rant, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely said that the Avengers are "ill-prepared to handle this" and "it shows." But will the added firepower of the Guardians be enough to stop Thanos, or will Infinity War end with the finger snap of doom?
