[UPDATE: The official Avengers: Infinity War trailer is now here!]

-

Marvel has confirmed that a brand new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is set to arrive tomorrow, Friday 16th March. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Infinity War is the third entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's superhero team-up franchise, and will see the Avengers brought back together to battle their most formidable enemy yet: Thanos, who wields the devastatingly powerful Infinity Gauntlet.

Yesterday, the Russo brothers indicated on social media that a new trailer would be arriving very soon. We're actually getting the movie itself sooner than expected, as earlier this month Marvel announced that the release date had been moved up a week - meaning it will arrive on April 27th instead of May 4th. With that in mind, fans are extremely eager for another taste of what they have to look forward to next month.

Well, there's good news: the wait for the final trailer is almost over! Today Marvel confirmed that a trailer is set to arrive tomorrow - most likely some time between 9am-12pm EST, since that's when Marvel trailers usually drop.

Avengers: Infinity War promises to bring together a dizzying array of characters from all corners of the MCU - not just the Avengers themselves, but side characters from the various Avengers' solo movies and even the Guardians of the Galaxy, who have tangled with Thanos (well, one of the guys who worked for Thanos) before. Guardians member Gamora has a particularly personal connection to the supervillain, as she was raised by him as his adopted daughter after he wiped out the rest of her race. Needless to say, she's not too fond of her "father".

Here's the official synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their super hero allies must willing to sacrifice it all in an attempt to defeat the power of Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

The Avengers became one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, and as the culmination of a decade spent laying the groundwork, Avengers: Infinity War is expected to dominate the summer box office. Can it possibly live up to the hype?
