Extremely rare poster for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are revealed. Marvel Studios biggest films to date rolled out in 2018 and 2019, capping off MCU's long-running Infinity Saga. Both films were directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, with the scripts penned by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. While there were some slight changes in casting, Josh Brolin's Thanos remained the sequels main antagonist.

Two years after the events of Captain America: Civil War, the Avengers were disbanded, giving Thanos the perfect opportunity to strike. The Mad Titan was in pursuit of all six Infinity Stones, two of were on Earth - the Mind Stone with Vision and the Time Stone with Doctor Strange. Despite a gallant effort and extra help from their newfound allies such as Guardians of the Galaxy and other independently operating heroes, the Avengers ended up losing, resulting in the villain wiping half of life in the universe - including some beloved MCU characters - at the end of Infinity War. By Endgame, the Avengers were basically hopeless, but thankfully the idea of the Time Heist came about from Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). They succeeded in bringing back those who perished in the Decimation and defeated Thanos, but not without some personal sacrifices.

Now that the Infinity Saga is complete, fans remember the movies in different ways. Artist Paolo Rivera, however, has an entirely unique experience, revealing that he was commissioned to create two limited posters for both Infinity War and Endgame that were only given to the cast and crew of the films. It's only now that he's allowed to share them. Check out the posters below:

The ensemble posters reflect the protagonists of their respective films. As Thanos' official introduction to the MCU, it makes sense that he's the lead character in Infinity War. Focusing the narrative on him and his minions, the Black Order was a clever decision from the filmmakers considering that the movie was chock full of heroes all coming together against him. While he's technically the bad guy, Avengers 3 was his film, and the movie was told almost entirely from his perspective. At some points, he's depicted as someone who viewers should empathize with. In Endgame, the roles were reversed with the Avengers stepping in and becoming the primary characters of the movie. The whole story was rooted in their desire to defeat the Mad Titan and bring back those who were dusted in the Blip.

Looking at these Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame posters, most of the prominent characters are no longer in the MCU. Some of them have perished, including Thanos, Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). Meanwhile, Steve Rogers' Captain America (Chris Evans) is officially retired. As fans transition to Phase 4, the franchise is bringing some of its second wave of heroes to the forefront, like Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). Couple that with new heroes set to be introduced such as the Eternals and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), and the universe is shaping up to be very different from what the public is used to.
