The cast of Avengers: Infinity War tease the fun team-ups Marvel has planned. Possibly the biggest selling point of Infinity War is seeing so many stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe share the screen. That has largely been the focus throughout the marketing - other than showing Thanos' power. From the trailers and interviews, Marvel's shown the main three teams that develop. Iron Man teams with Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Star-Lord; Captain America recruits his secret Avengers and heads to Wakanda; and Thor meets up with the Guardians in space.
With 18 movies serving as the lead-in to Infinity War, this is as stacked a cast as possible. It also is a rare opportunity to see some of these characters interact, before some die or once again go their separate ways after. Not only will the team-ups be fun to see for fans, but it appears the actors had just as much fun working together.
Marvel released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Avengers: Infinity War that keeps the focus on the star-studded crossover. Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Danai Gurira (Okoye), and more all tease the fun they had working with their fellow MCU actors, many of them for the first time.
Those involved with Infinity War have repeatedly stressed how complicated it was to pull this filming schedule off, but it doesn't appear like it kept the set from being lively. Between the Russo brothers attempting to make Thanos a villain that was worth the wait or perfectly culminating the last ten years of the MCU, it looks like everyone was still able enjoy the experience. The video shows off two of Marvel's Chris' bonding, the Science Bros once again showing affection for one another, and even includes some Cumberbatch humor.
As for the footage, there isn't much included that hasn't already been shown. We see more of the Battle of Wakanda, additional looks at Strange and Star-Lord's teamwork, and even the Guardians finding Thor. But, it does show some BTS looks at these scenes which is fun. If there is one moment that stands out above the rest, its Downey wearing Strange's Cloak of Levitation. The setting appears to be on one of the Q-Ships, which is believed to take Iron Man, Strange, and others to Titan to battle Thanos. This could be (and likely is) just another example of them having fun on set messing around with costumes between takes, but it'd sure be interesting if it wasn't. Why would Strange give up the cloak? Why would Iron Man even need it given his suits? It doesn't quite add up, but it makes for a fun image nonetheless.
