The cast of Avengers: Infinity War has assembled - not to take on the Mad Titan Thanos, but to parody The Brady Bunch. So, if excitement for the latest Marvel Studios production isn't already massive enough, a video of the cast singing to the tune of a '60s-era sitcom might be the icing on the cake.

In preparation for Avengers: Infinity War, the entire cast has been doubling-down on public appearances to help promote the movie, and their latest attempt revolves around satirizing The Brady Bunch. Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Chris Pratt, and Tom Hiddleston performed together to "tell the story" of their respective roles in the MCU, breaking down the storyline leading up to their interactions with Thanos by way of some tongue-in-cheek lyrics.

In light of Infinity War's theatrical release, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon wrangled together the cast to parody the musical number in The Brady Bunch's opening titles sequence, modifying the lyrics to make them tie in with the MCU. For example, the parody opens up with Downey Jr. singing, "Here’s the story of a playboy genius who was gearing up to form some sort of crew," with Johansson, Hemsworth, and Evans following up with, "a former Russian spy, a god of thunder, one fought in Word War II," respectively. The video then extends to including newer members of the Avengers, including Chris Pratt, Anthony Mackie, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Chadwick Boseman. Hiddleston then shows up in a brief cameo in the end, egging on his on-screen brother, Hemsworth.

Having orchestrated the parody himself, Jimmy Fallon tweeted about how combining The Avengers with The Brady Bunch is an "even bigger crossoverthan the crossovers implemented in Infinity War. Incidentally, this isn't the first time that Fallon and The Tonight Show created crossover parody videos for popular movies or television shows. In December, he combined The CW series Riverdale with characters from Charles Shulz's Peanuts, and two years ago, he created a parody of his own talk show with Fox's Empire, among others.

While Infinity War may not involve the sort of over-the-top humor used on The Tonight Show, the tone may not be as serious as the trailers imply. This movies does, after all, belong in a franchise that has rarely shied away from leaning into comedy, even during moments that included mass catastrophe and death. In fact, Thor: Ragnarok and both Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2 include as many comedic gags as they do action set pieces.
