Mild SPOILERS for Avengers: Infinity War.

-

A new video sees the cast of Avengers: Infinity War humorously wondering where Ant-Man and the Wasp were during the battle against Thanos. In the build-up to Infinity War, many fans were bothered by the lack of Hawkeye in the marketing for the movie. We were told Hawkeye has his own thing going on, implying that his mission would be spoiler-y if revealed. In the end, however, Hawkeye simply didn't appear in the film - and he wasn't the only one, either.

Valkyrie, Korg, Nakia, and several other recent additions to the MCU sat out Avengers: Infinity War, despite their proximity to the action. But along with Hawkeye, the most glaring absence was Ant-Man. The Wasp was never going to be part of the film, something we learned quite some time ago. But Ant-Man's absence after his involvement in Captain America: Civil War seemed almost as odd as the lack of Hawkeye to many people. In the end, a line in Infinity War explains that Clint and Scott took a deal to protect their families after breaking the Sokovia Accords. This plot point will actually play into Ant-Man & the Wasp, which will take place before Infinity War. Of course, that isn't stopping the MCU's actors from poking fun at Ant-Man and the Wasp's absence during the big showdown with Thanos.

Marvel has released a new video featuring the cast of Avengers: Infinity War comedically musing about the whereabouts of Ant-Man and the Wasp in the movie. Aside from a funny jab at the film, the video also tees up the new Ant-Man & the Wasp trailer that's set to arrive tomorrow.

Though Avengers: Infinity War has only just arrived in theaters, Marvel is already gearing up for July's release of Ant-Man sequel. Earlier today, a new poster for Ant-Man & the Wasp was released, along with word that a full-length trailer will drop online tomorrow. It seems that Marvel is keen to explain why Ant-Man and the Wasp weren't in their big team-up film, and the new trailer for the Ant-Man sequel should make it clearer that the movie is set before Infinity War.

Of course, we still have no explanation for where Hawkeye and the other heroes are. Marvel has kept a tight lid on the plot details of Avengers 4, so it's possible we won't know more about Hawkeye until much later this year. As for where Valkyrie and Korg were when Thanos attacked Thor and the Asgardians, perhaps a funny video explaining that plot point will be released soon as well.

Regardless of which heroes sat out the film, Marvel had more than enough characters to pack into Infinity War. Audiences don't seem to mind the absences either, as Infinity War is shattering box office records left and right at the moment. Meanwhile, those who did make the cut in Avengers: Infinity War will probably appreciate it when Earth's Tiniest Heroes join the fight during Avengers 4.
