Directors Joe and Anthony Russo tease Arrested Development fans will be pleased during Avengers: Infinity War. Even though the Russo brothers are now considered to be some of Marvel Studios' top directors, they weren't the clear choice when they were hired. Prior to stepping into the MCU with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the duo were best known for their work on comedic shows Arrested Development and Community.

During their time in the MCU, they've made fans of both shows happy by what they've included. Winter Soldier included two Community cameos with D.C. Pierson and Daniel Pudi appearing. Then in Civil WarCommunity's Jim Rash appeared briefly, while Arrested Development got some love when the Bluth Company stair car was seen at the airport battle. With Infinity War on the horizon, fans of the Bluths will need to pay close attention again.

Joe and Anthony Russo spoke to Andy McCarroll Movies and they were asked about possibly including more references in Infinity War. The directors weren't prepared to reveal what exactly they've included, but they did tease that fans of Arrested Development should be pleased.

There's a few surprises coming. I would say that Arrested Development fans should keep their eyes open in this one.

There's no telling who or what the Russos have included this time, but with an already busy movie, it's possible whatever is included will only be caught on repeat viewings. If there are cameos coming, the cast of Arrested Development could result in some rather big names appearing. Judy Greer is the only Arrested Development cast member who has an MCU role already, but with Ant-Man not looking to be in the movie, she likely isn't what they're referring to.

Could the Russos have secretly brought Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, or Will Arnett onto the set? They may be unlikely gets, but Alia Shawkat, David Cross, or Tony Hale are just a few of the options at their disposal. If it isn't a cast member, then something similar to the Bluth car in the background could be what they've planned. Whatever the Arrested Development ties may be, there will surely be even more Easter eggs. Marvel movies are typically packed with references, and with so many different franchises coming together, the Russos could have a lot of fun. The Arrested Development surprises won't be as consequential as some other Easter eggs could be, but that doesn't mean they couldn't be some of the more fun ones included.
