Two new casting calls for Avengers: Infinity War suggest that the film will include a quick scene set in the 1960s. Marvel Studios' next big team-up film is set to hit theaters in May of next year, and fans are already buzzing with anticipation for the jam-packed cast and the high-stakes narrative that the movie will add to MCU's storied 10-year history. Infinity War was directed by Marvel veteran directors Joe and Anthony Russo and written by duo Stephen Markus and Christopher McFeely -- the same writing and directing team behind the critically acclaimed Captain America: Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War.

Infinity War boasts an impressive line-up of cast members as the movie promises to be the biggest ensemble movie thus far. Earth's Mightiest Heroes will finally cross paths with the Guardians of the Galaxy -- a meeting that will be initially set up in Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok this November. Meanwhile, other newly introduced superheroes like Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther are also expected to partake in the fight to protect the world and the rest of the universe against mad Titan Thanos' evil plans which will be executed with the help of his children, the Black Order.

The casting calls come courtesy of Central Casting Georgia's two separate Facebook posts for the project "Mary Lou," which is the working title for Infinity War. Both casting announcements are looking for Caucasian females who would play extras as 1960s engineers and secretaries/clerks in the movie. The secretaries will be filming their parts from October 10 to 11, while the engineers will be needed on-set from October 12 to 13 and an additional day on October 16. While principal photography for Infinity War is said to have already wrapped and the team has now moved forward with the filming of still untitled Avengers 4, co-director Joe Russo has shared during last July's San Diego Comic-Con that there are some pick-up scenes that they still need to shoot for Avengers 3. The announcement for both roles emphasized that they would only be for "very small" scenes, which may mean that they will not include any of the major cast members.

The footage could be for anything - perhaps a sneak peek of a budding S.H.I.E.L.D. organization, building on claims of a cameo by Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) or, given that Doctor Strange has the ability to browsing through time via the Time Gem, it could be him seeking answers that would help them defeat Thanos. Perhaps it's even related to Infinity War's post-credits scene(s).

With more than seven months (and two other MCU standalones: Ragnarok and Black Panther) left before Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters, fans would have to wait a bit longer for any official promotional materials for the movie. But if the D-23/Comic Con Hall-H exlusive first footage from the film is any indication, the movie looks every bit of epic as what Marvel Studios promise it to be.
