UK fans will now get to see Avengers: Endgame one day earlier thanks to a recent release date change. Avengers: Infinity War radically changed the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Thanos (Josh Brolin) wiping out half of life across the universe in the Decimation. The ending was all the more shocking to fans thanks to how careful Marvel Studios was in not spoiling the biggest moments of the film.

This tactic is once again being taken with Avengers: Endgame. The first trailer for the epic conclusion of Phase 3 barely showed any footage and only offered a few teases about time travel, which is believed to be key to the film's plot, in the process. Marvel Studios further showed their hand in wanting to preserve the many surprises of Endgame when it was confirmed the film's release date was moved up to have a nearly universal launch. Some countries are getting it a day or two before the official launch date of April 26th, and now the UK is among that group.

Comscore Movies UK & Ireland revealed that Avengers: Endgame has now been moved up by one day in the UK and Ireland and will now be released on April 25th. The two European countries now join Brazil, Columbia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Slovakia, and Ukraine with this slightly earlier release date.

This move is not completely surprising, as UK and Ireland were also among the countries that released Infinity War a day earlier than its United States launch. Marvel Studios also has a tendency to release their films earlier internationally anyway, and usually it is a full week ahead of the stateside debut. Thankfully, this will not be the case with Endgame and the Russo brothers may very well issue another #ThanosDemandsSilence warning to make sure no surprises are ruined.

Even though Marvel is keeping Endgame's plot and cast close to the vest, it is almost a foregone conclusion that the film will be filled with moments meant to shock audiences. How the surviving heroes manage to bring the snap victims back to life is one of the biggest reveals the movie will have, but even Thanos' role could be a major surprise. The movie will definitely leave fans talking no matter what it includes and with the slightly staggered release date - and press screenings - fans who truly want to avoid knowing any possible spoilers will need to plan accordingly. The best way to make sure one sees it as fresh as possible may require staying off the internet once Marvel starts showing Avengers: Endgame to audiences, regardless of when it debuts in your area.
