A tie-in Funko Pop! two-pack for Avengers: Endgame teases a rematch between Thanos (Josh Brolin) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). The two first encountered each other at the start of Avengers: Infinity War and with the green rage monster still high from his stint as the top gladiator on Sakaar, he was obviously blindsided by how easily the Mad Titan took care of him. Now, it seems like he'll have another crack to at least settle the score between them.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Endgame is hailed as the most-anticipated film of the year. Marvel Studios is intentionally keeping its plot tightly under wraps with a measured marketing campaign that effectively hypes up the project without giving any narrative specifics. But considering where things were left off at the end of Infinity War with the deadly snap that wiped out half of life in the universe, the remaining heroes are motivated now more than ever to take down Thanos and restore peace and order in the universe - whatever it takes. The Hulk, who was missing-in-action for the majority of the initial bout against the Mad Titan, will be given a second opportunity to redeem himself and if this new piece of tie-in merchandise comes to fruition, he'll have his solo one-on-one time against Thanos.

Shared on Twitter by a user with the handle @andrEESstrange is a couple of Funko Pop! figures for Endgame, including a two-pack hinting that a rematch between the Hulk and Thanos is coming. Both characters are sporting their latest looks with the Mad Titan wearing his armor, while Bruce Banner's alter-ego is all decked out in the "Advanced Tech Suits" that debuted in the recently released full Avengers: Endgame trailer. It's unclear what the new costume is for, but the popular theory is that they're environmental armor that will allow the heroes to travel in the Quantum Realm and possibly through time. Check out the toy set below:

The Hulk's reluctance to come out for the remainder of Infinity War after Thanos easily took him out has been discussed repeatedly since the film's release last year. People have come up with various theories but it continues to be a huge mystery. According to the Russos, however, the Hulk is not afraid of Thanos, which was the assumption of many. Assuming the filmmakers are being upfront about this specific subplot, it makes it much more difficult to justify the green monster's decision to leave Banner in a bind especially considering the level of threat they were facing.

With Avengers: Endgame shifting the focus to the founding MCU heroes, it's safe to assume that Hulk will be more prominent this time around. Whether or not his role in the film includes a second shot at the Mad Titan remains to be seen, but it's something that a lot of people would really love to see. Since Thanos is supposedly a lot stronger than the Hulk even without the Infinity Stones, it's curious though how he'll fare against the villain. But even if he's not able to overpower him on his own, what's important is that Thanos is defeated and the original Avengers accomplish what may be their final mission.
