Actor Chris Hemsworth busts a move in an Avengers: Endgame behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, where the Australian franchise star provides fans with a throwback post that includes his MCU castmates.
In Avengers: Endgame, Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor. In the Russo brothers’ film, the superheroes battle the big bad Thanos, along with time itself, in order to gain control of the six Infinity Stones. For the 22nd installment - the penultimate film of the MCU’s Phase 3 - Thor has a significantly different look, one that's crucial to the storyline. Produced for $356 million, Avengers: Endgame has earned nearly $2.2 billion at the box office, making it the second highest-grossing film of all time. In recent weeks, Hemsworth has been the focus of numerous comedic videos, as he posted a video of himself vandalizing Ant-Man’s face on an Avengers: Endgame poster last month, shortly before he panicked while attempting to name all 22 MCU films during a press interview. Once again, Hemsworth has pleased MCU fans for his fun Avengers: Endgame performance.
On Instagram, Hemsworth recently posted a behind-the-scenes Avengers: Endgame video in which he shows off his dance moves. The actor provides an extensive caption for context, as the video was filmed during a lunch that Robert Downey Jr. organized during the Avengers: Endgame production. Hemsworth also notes, “What can I say, the music took hold of me...not sure why nobody joined me, probably just intimidated.” In the clip, a mariachi band performs “La Bamba,” and Hemsworth’s Avengers: Endgame castmates are seen enjoying a meal, with Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, and Paul Rudd at the center of the frame. The camera then pans to reveal Karen Gillan in full make-up as Nebula, and then pans once again to reveal Hemsworth outside near various production trailers. Dressed in black pants and a black tee (and wearing a full Thor beard), Hemsworth busts a move with a jolly look on his face. The dance lasts only a few seconds, but the camera soon returns to Hemsworth as he performs near the cast lunch table. Check out the Instagram video below.
Since the Avengers: Endgame spoiler ban has been lifted, numerous behind-the-scenes posts have been shared. On Twitter, Chris Evans posted a 33-second production video, which ends with a robe-wearing Hemsworth glaring comedically at the camera and telling his castmate to “f**k off.” In addition, Sean Gunn posted an Instagram photo that shows Avengers: Endgame’s Holy Chris Trinity posing for a group photo.
Avengers: Endgame released less than two weeks ago, but it’s already taken over the world. In the coming weeks, and certainly in the coming days, fans can expect a barrage of new behind-the-scenes photos and videos. And while there will be plenty of bonus material to enjoy on the Blu-ray for Avengers: Endgame, there’s something special about media that comes directly from the main cast.
