Avengers: Endgame could've been very different if these scenes were left in the final cut. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe around the world have quickly taken to the latest superhero outing from Marvel Studios. The film has grossed well over $2 billion at this point and is still trying to surpass Avatar to become the biggest movie of all time. The response has been tremendous and has seen fans discuss all of the different aspects of Avengers: Endgame, but there's been just as much attention given to what isn't in the movie.

Thanks to directors Anthony and Joe Russo and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, there have been plenty of deleted or altered scenes to discuss. They've detailed different versions of the ending and other pivotal scenes, as well as late additions to the movie, like Robert Downey Jr.'s "I am Iron Man" line, but that is just one of many moments that they've discussed so far.

Screen Rant's latest video tackles 25 of these instances, where scenes from Avengers: Endgame were either changed or removed. These moments include how the trailers altered Captain Marvel's look to hide her short haircut, changed Black Widow's hair to hide the time jump, or put Nebula in a different location to protect the fact that this was a past version of her. These are just a handful of the moments discussed in the video, though, so check out the full list in the video at the top of this post.

Many of these changed or altered scenes won't be a surprise for fans who have been poring over each interview that the Russos, Markus, and McFeely have done. They previously discussed the deleted scene with Katherine Langford as an older Morgan Stark, and one of their more recent reveals was a consideration of Thor fighting his 2014 self.  Details of a different version of Valkyrie and Thor's goodbye revealed they nearly kissed, while an action-packed underwater set piece on Morag was also once considered.

With all of these differences, there are several alternate versions of Avengers: Endgame that could've existed. We almost got a movie where Hawkeye was the one who sacrificed himself on Vormir instead of Black Widow, which is one of the most significant differences that has been revealed. This would alter plans for the Hawkeye Disney+ series and give more possibilities for Black Widow's story. However, there is no cut of Avengers: Endgame with this difference, as many of these altered takes were never filmed, and the other changes were mostly the result of digital manipulation to trick fans during the marketing process.
