Robert Downey Jr. hangs out with original Edward Jarvis actor, James D'Arcy, who also appeared in Avengers: Endgame. It's been almost three years since the Infinity Saga culminated in the Joe and Anthony Russo blockbuster, and yet it remains to be a favorite topic of conversation among fans. Now, Downey just gave the public something new to talk about with his latest social media post.

Avengers: Endgame not only wrapped up the Infinity Saga, but it also functioned as Iron Man's swan song. The film did a great job wrapping up the character's more than a decade run in the MCU with a poetic, albeit tragic, final fate. Before sacrificing himself to defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin), however, the Russos made sure to tie all loose ends regarding the hero's story. That includes him coming to terms with his grievances against his dad. As part of the time heist, Tony Stark was able to meet Howard Stark (John Slattery) before he was born. There, he also encountered, D'Arcy's Jarvis.

Now, Downey shares a new image with D'Arcy as the pair hung out with each other on his official Instagram. "O.G. Jarvis and Tony take a hike," the actor wrote in the caption. Check out the wacky selfie below:

D'Arcy primarily played Jarvis — the Starks' butler and driver in ABC's Agent Carter. At that point, it was unclear whether Marvel TV's projects were considered a part of the MCU, so it was a big surprise when the original Jarvis appeared in Avengers: Endgame as Howard Stark's personal assistant. Downey and D'Arcy never really shared a scene together. Their characters didn't encounter each other, but based on what's known about the genius, billionaire's life, he became quite close with Jarvis while growing up. It's the reason why he named his artificial intelligence assistant, JARVIS, who was initially voiced by Paul Bettany before transforming into Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While Downey's Iron Man is officially out of the MCU after Avengers: Endgame, Jarvis can still return to the franchise depending on Marvel Studios' plans. Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter is officially back, albeit a different version — one who's become Captain Carter after getting the Super Soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Assuming that Marvel Studios would want to tackle her backstory and ties to the Starks, an appearance from D'Arcy's Jarvis may not be outside the realm of possibility. Otherwise, Marvel Studios can simply revive Agent Carter considering how much people have been clamoring for it since ABC unceremoniously canceled the show.
