Marvel's original Avengers reunite for Avengers: Endgame's win at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. Fans commemorated the first anniversary of the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed movie in varying ways, leaving some to be nostalgic about the MCU in general. To cap it all off, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo came together to greet the public for the first time since the film hit theaters.

All debuting their respective superheroes in MCU's Phase 1, the six founding Avengers as a group headlined four movies in massive franchise, starting in 2012's The Avengers from Joss Whedon. It was followed by 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2018's Avengers: Infinity War and last year's Endgame. With each film, the roster continued to expand, but the original members remained the backbone of the team. Endgame marked the final time the inaugural squad assembled on the big screen with some of them ending their journeys, such as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Steve Rogers/Chris Evans.

Thanks to this year's 2020 Kids' Choice Awards, fans are once again treated to an appearance by the original Avengers as they accepted the award for Favorite Movie for Endgame. The movie bested Aladdin, Jumanji: The Next Level, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, as well as its fellow Marvel Studios productions, Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the awards ceremony was held virtually with the actors assembling via video conference. Check out their acceptance speech in the clip shared by Nickelodeon below:

Aside from simply accepting their award and thanking fans who supported their characters, the gang also reminded everyone that it's important to come together now more than ever to battle the ongoing global health crisis. Of course, a gathering of these actors won't be complete without some ribbing - Hemsworth and Evans, as well as Ruffalo discussed who really is the strongest Avenger among Thor, Captain America and Hulk, while Johansson listened amusingly. Downey then popped up with his signature "I love you 3000" phrase, but his co-stars couldn't help but reference Iron Man's tragic death in Endgame. All in all, fans are thrilled to see the cast reunite on the screen even if it was just for a brief amount of time.

Aside from Hemsworth as Thor and Johansson as Black Widow, it's unknown when and if the rest of these actors will play their respective MCU heroes again. It's safe to say, however, that it will be a while before Downey and Evans return - if at all, so as not to cheapen how Iron Man and Captain America's Avengers: Endgame fates panned out. Admittedly, this is a bummer for long-time fans of the universe since these founding heroes are arguably still the franchise's biggest draw. That said, capping off their stories with the Infinity Saga was necessary to ensure that the film series will continue to prosper moving forward. In any case, if fans ever miss them together, they can simply revisit their films from Phase 1 to 3, otherwise they can also partake in an upcoming charity event which will let them virtually hang out with the cast.
