Peter Serafinowicz doesn't confirm nor deny Nova Corps' involvement in Avengers: Endgame. Debuting in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, the actor played Garthan Saal - a member of the intergalactic military and police force of the Nova Empire headed by Glenn Close's Nova Prime. He and his comrades helped Peter Quill and his ragtag team of heroes defend Xandar from Ronan the Accuser's attempt to exterminate the planet.

In less than a month, Marvel Studios will be rolling out their latest ensemble project culminating the 22-film arc that the franchise has been building since 2008's Iron Man. Picking up after the events of last year's Avengers: Infinity War, the focus now shifts to the heroes from Thanos (Josh Brolin) as they hatch a plan to restore peace and order in the universe and take down the Mad Titan along the way. Not much is known regarding Endgame, with Disney running a measured marketing campaign, but it's expected that the movie will travel back in time to possibly retrace the whereabouts of the Infinity Stones before Thanos got a hold of them. And since the Orb/Power Stone was in the Nova Corps' possession before it got snatched away, it makes sense that the galactic military team would somehow be involved.

However, when Screen Rant spoke with Serafinowicz, the actor was coy about the possibility of the Nova Corp appearing in Endgame. Instead, he admitted that he "can neither confirm nor deny" their involvement.

Screen Rant: You are also a character within the MCU, will they make an appearance in Avengers: End Game?

Peter Serafinowicz: Which character?

Screen Rant: Your character Garthan Saal of the Nova Corp from the Guardians of the Galaxy branch of the MCU family tree. Will they make an appearance in Avengers: End Game?

Peter Serafinowicz: "I can't say... I can neither confirm nor deny.

Considering that Serafinowicz's character died a heroic death during the Battle of Xandar, it's possible that he's not privy to information about the possibility of his fellow Nova Corps appearing in Endgame. The film could either be revisiting the planet long before Thanos came and decimated it before the events of Infinity War rolled out, allowing him to appear, or during, finally revealing how the Mad Titan got his first Infinity Stone. There's also the possibility that some of the heroes reunite with the remaining members of the force after their encounter with the villain. What's odd about the actor's answer is that, he could've made it sound like he doesn't have any knowledge about the film, instead of coming across as purposefully being secretive about it.

Regardless, whether or not he or other members of the Nova Corps appear in Avengers: Endgame remains to be seen. But since the film is the culmination of everything that's transpired in the MCU over the last 10 years, it makes sense that it'll be revisiting key moments in franchise history to reinforce it being the culminating project of The Infinity Saga, and since the Nova Corps played a direct role in securing an Infinity Stone, seeing them back is certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
