WARNING: Spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.

-

Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow all received their own fan-made posters for Avengers: Endgame, paying tribute to the three significant Marvel heroes. While Avengers: Infinity War surprised audiences by erasing half of all living things in the entire universe, Avengers: Endgame made the loss of three classic heroes permanent.

In Avengers: Endgame, the fight against Thanos required as much sacrifice as it did skill. And, though there was ultimately victory, reversing the snap from Avengers: Infinity War and defeating the Mad Titan and his army once and for all, success didn't come without loss. By the end, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) sacrifices herself in order to retrieve the Soul Stone, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sacrifices himself by snapping his handmade Infinity Gauntlet, and Captain America (Chris Evans) travels back in time to live the life he always he wanted with Peggy (Hayley Atwell), ending up an old man by the end of the film.

Now, to celebrate these heroes, the artist known as BossLogic created tribute posters for each of them. Iron Man's poster has a suited-up Tony Stark in  front of a collage of his closest relationships throughout the franchise; Captain America's poster has Cap wielding Mjolnir, with the word "Worthy" written across the image; and Black Widow's poster has Natasha at the Red Room Academy. Check out the posters below:

BossLogic is no stranger to creating fan-made posters for Marvel characters. He created a poster imagining Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse's Spider-Gwen (Steinfeld voices the character in the film), an Avengers vs. X-Men poster featuring an Avengers crest slashed at with Wolverine's claws, and even a poster dedicated solely to Stan Lee in which classic Marvel characters mourn him at his funeral. As for these three posters, Marvel fans will no doubt notice small Easter eggs throughout - especially the familiar man sitting up in the balcony, staring down at Black Widow.

It was always inevitable that the heroes of the MCU - even ones as beloved as Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow - would pass their torches to a new generation of Avengers one way or another. Few might have been prepared for exactly how emotional their ends would end up being, though, making Avengers: Endgame tough to swallow for diehard fans. That said, their memories will certainly live on, whether through repeat viewings or through fan-made posters like these.
