Some international movie theaters are providing an intermission in the middle of the long runtime of Avengers: Endgame. Earlier this year, reports started suggesting that the film has around a three-hour runtime, which makes sense given the film's scope and all the ground it has to cover.

Endgame follows up Avengers: Infinity War, which left fans devastated when Thanos, the most impressive Marvel Cinematic Universe villain to date, collected all the Infinity Stones and used their power to destroy half of the universe's population, including half of the Avengers team. In Endgame, the Avengers will have to deal with the aftermath of losing their battle against the Mad Titan, as well as figure out how, if possible, they can fix the damage he created. Probably the most ambitious MCU film in history, it will wrap up a good portion of the Avengers' main plot, a story that's been in the works for over a decade. This is probably why Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige states that the 3-hour runtime of the movie is the least interesting thing about it.

However, some moviegoers will get a break in the action, giving them a chance to run to the bathroom and refill on popcorn and drinks. Certain Twitter users report that some international theaters are offering an intermission, with tweets coming from countries such as Egypt and Italy that it's well-needed.

American audiences, though, are still being encouraged to sit through the three-hour long movie, meaning that they'll have to perfectly time their bathroom breaks and keep their drinking to a minimum. Fortunately, they no longer have to wait for the usual post-credits scenes, although there is still a good reason to remain seated while the credits roll, including a special sequence honoring the six actors who portrayed the original iteration of the Avengers, as well as an audio cue. For fans who find themselves missing the post-credits scenes that Marvel is so famous for, they can now watch all the scenes from previous movies online.

Avengers: Endgame is already on its way to becoming the biggest movie of the year, if not the biggest film in history. It has already sold out thousands of screenings before its opening weekend, and critics seem to have nothing but praise for it, as it already has a Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. Marvel fans are in for a real treat, and even without an intermission, they will stay glued to theater screens for the final battle between the Avengers and Thanos.
