A new piece of fan art for Avengers: Endgame mines inspiration from Avengers: Infinity War's one-sheet design with an updated cast of characters. Following The Decimation, half of life in the universe, including some MCU heroes, were disintegrated into dust. This paves the way for a much smaller cast in this sequel, as well as the introduction of those who sat out the first bout against Thanos (Josh Brolin).

In less than three months, the conclusion to the 22-film arc that the MCU has been unspooling since 2008's Iron Man will arrive in theaters to the excitement of fans. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, not much is known with regard to the film's specific plot details as of yet. Marvel Studios has been mum about the flick, only releasing a trailer back in December that barely gave anything away. As fans wait for more official marketing materials to be rolled out, some of them are spending their time making their own - including this latest one who revamped Infinity War's ensemble poster for Endgame.

From digital artist ultraraw26 on Instagram comes an updated version of Infinity War's poster in light of the characters confirmed to appear in Endgame. The creator replaced those who were disintegrated into dust in Avengers 3 with characters set to join the fight against Thanos like Brie Larson's Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd's Scott Lang/Ant-Man, and Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie. Meanwhile, those who survived The Decimation, including the original Earth's Mightiest Heroes, remain in their old places. Check out the poster below:

Despite having new heroes join Endgame, the number of characters in the film is still significantly smaller compared to Infinity War. This will allow the film to have a more complicated plot, since it won't have to cater to as many characters. That also means that the movie can spend a little bit more time with every hero. While the Russos and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely did a great job shining a spotlight on all the heroes present in Avengers 3, there are still some who didn't get as much as attention as fans would've loved, like Captain America and Black Widow.

With Avengers: Endgame expected to be the final chapter for most, if not all MCU Phase 1 heroes, it's safe to assume that much of the screen time will be devoted to reassembling the core six Avengers. It's been a while since fans saw them on a mission together, and it will be a nice way to cap off the franchise's first three phases with all of them saving the world again just like how they did in 2012's The Avengers. There's a reason that all of them have survived The Decimation, and if this will really be the last time fans witness them undertake a mission, it would definitely be nostalgic for followers of the franchise who've been there since the beginning.
