Fans can now see the alternative design for Avengers: Endgame's Quantum Realm suits. Used for their Time Heist, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) designed the ensemble using nano technology after he was convinced that there was a chance to bring back all those who were affected by Thanos' (Josh Brolin) snap in Avengers: Infinity War. The white suits were long revealed before they were debuted via an official trailer via tie-in merchandise for the film.

Thanks to Scott Lang/Ant-Man's knowledge about Quantum Physics, from having worked closely with Hank Pym (Michael Douglass), he suggested the idea of returning to various point in time to retrieve all six Infinity Stones before Thanos was able to get his hands on them. While he, Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) and Bruce Banner/Smart Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) had access to the mini Quantum Portal and Pym Particles, they had to find a way to specifically pinpoint the time and place they want to travel back to. This was resolved with Tony's invention of time and space GPS, coupled with the accessible white suits, making it easy for them to carry out their mission without causing much commotion.

Endgame's matching white and red Quantum Realm suits looked great, especially when one looks closely at how each of the heroes' garbs differ from each other. However, there was a darker version of the costume, as revealed by Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding, which was dark/grey with red accents. Check out the images shared by the artist on his official Instagram account below:

The overall design of the Quantum Realm suits is a mix of Stark and Pym aesthetics. When the suit designs were initially revealed to the public, fans were quick to deduce they would be used to travel into the alternate dimension, seeing as they resembled the suit Hank wore to save Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) from the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man & the Wasp. Admittedly, the darker version looks sleeker than what was ended up in Endgame's theatrical cut, but the white version is a better visual representation of their roles as the good guys in the story. After all, Scott did make a comment about the black-clad HYDRA personnel disguising as S.H.I.E.L.D. members during the events of The Avengers clearly looking like bad guys.

In any case, fans were just happy to see the Avengers (at least, the original six and some of their allies) sport matching outfits. Earth's Mightiest Heroes are not known for donning similar outfits (like the X-Men). Both in print and on the big screen,  the Avengers wear their own battle gears (although Tony is known for giving them upgrades) which helps in establishing individual branding for them. However, the introduction of the Quantum Realm suits in Avengers: Endgame allowed the film to be immediately distinct from its predecessor, given that it's the only film thus far in the MCU that featured that specific costume.
