Avengers: Endgame made box office history with an unprecedented opening weekend, but how many movies has it not made more than yet? After 11 years and 21 earlier films, the MCU's Infinity Saga came to a rousing close with the latest effort from directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Considering the incredible levels of hype for the film, it would have been easy for Endgame to be a disappointment. However, the general consensus is that Marvel stuck the landing. Not only is the film Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, it also received a rare A+ CinemaScore.
It goes without saying that something as massive as Endgame would be financially successful even if the reviews were poor, but the enthusiastic word-of-mouth only increased demand to see it as soon as possible. While Endgame was always projected to break box office records, even the most optimistic of fans could not have seen this coming. Shattering all-time marks, Endgame grossed $350 million in its first three days domestically and earned $1.209 billion in just five days. These are truly baffling figures that do not seem real even though they've been officially confirmed. Obviously, Endgame has sailed up the all-time box office charts and it's admittedly much easier to list the number of movies it hasn't mad more than at this point in time.
