Marvel's Avengers are reimagined as Disney animated characters in fan art. The six original Avengers have been a key part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since their first team up movie in 2012. However, due to the events of Avengers: Endgame, the heroes will never be the same again. Both Black Widow and Iron Man sacrificed themselves to save humanity, leaving only Hulk, Captain America, Thor, and Hawkeye behind. However, as Steve traveled back in time to live out his life with Peggy Carter, he's now an old man in the present-day MCU. This means only Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye remain of the original Avengers, and Marvel has different plans for all of them.

Most notably, Thor will be seen in another solo movie, Thor: Love and Thunder, which will reunite him with Natalie Portman's Jane Foster. Though the movie doesn't come out until 2022, it's already one of the MCU's most highly anticipated entries, thanks to the success of Thor: Ragnarok. Meanwhile, Hawkeye's next adventure will unfold on Disney+, as he stars in the streamer's upcoming Hawkeye TV show, which will also introduce Kate Bishop to the MCU. It seems likely Hulk will also be seen in a Disney+ series, as Mark Ruffalo has been involved in discussions for an appearance in She-Hulk.

Of course, as the older Avengers have passed on or stepped out of the limelight, newer heroes have stepped up, including Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, and others. In clever fan art by Samuel Chevé that imagines the Avengers as Disney animated characters, both Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel appear alongside the original Avengers, signifying their importance in the MCU. Check out a collection of the fan art below:

Though Tangled's Flynn Rider makes an appearance as Iron Man, the other character remakes are all from Frozen. It's impressive how well some work, such as Elsa for Scarlet Witch, since they both use their hands to express their powers. Meanwhile, Flynn and Iron Man have similarly cocky personalities, at least at first, so that pairing makes sense as well. It's also interesting to see different takes on Thor and Captain America, though Kristoff is the model for all four. The images highlight Thor's weapons, Stormbreaker and Mjolnir, while also showing how much Captain America's appearance shifted across movies.

The fan art makes sense on some level, as Disney owns Marvel. However, the animated and Marvel sides of Disney are completely different entities, making this is a creative concept. Considering the number of Disney and MCU characters out there, the combinations for reimaginings like this are virtually endless. In the meantime, though, this fan art easily lets viewers imagine an animated Marvel film featuring the Avengers.
