Perhaps the most crucial set piece of Disneyland Resort’s new Avengers Campus has finally been installed: the Quinjet. This giant sci-fi airplane has been seen in many different forms throughout the MCU, but this colorful and sleek design for Disney Parks is a new Quinjet all its own.

This updated Quinjet prop is just one part of the upcoming Avengers Campus, a new park area at Disney’s California Adventure currently under construction. The Avengers Campus is taking a unique approach to the superhero world by diverging from the canon of the MCU and creating a world where Thanos’s fatal snap never happened. The focus of the new land seems to be the kid-friendly Spider-Man franchise. The primary attraction for the area is a ride named Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure. But this doesn’t mean that the other Avengers will be ignored; the Avengers Campus will include attractions for many different adventures and some never before seen costumes for the walk-around characters.

The central landmark of the park, of course, is the iconic Quinjet. A recent Instagram post from Walt Disney Imagineering shows the new Quinjet in all its glory. There are photos of the giant set piece being placed in its final home at the Avengers Campus, as well as some of the proud construction crew members who helped install it. The post also includes some of the original concept art for the Quinjet display, as well as a logo for Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure. The Imagineering account notes that this is just part of the overall construction being done in the area.

Surrounding the Avengers Campus and Disney Parks as a whole has been a serious discussion about park safety during the pandemic. Though Disneyland and California Adventure are currently closed, Florida’s Disney World is operating mostly as usual, which has been a controversial decision for both fans and executives. The Downtown Disney District in California has also begun slowly reopening, though it’s still unclear when the parks themselves will return.

Though Disneyland didn’t expect to miss out on their summer season in such a big way, the park closures could be a blessing in disguise for the Avengers Campus. With no park visitors, the Imagineers and construction crews are free to work on the new land without disturbing park operations. Hopefully, the Avengers Campus will be complete by the time the park reopens and will be a great way to welcome back the Disney fans that have been gone for so long.
