Spoilers for Ant-Man #3 by Marvel Comics

Despite his incredible achievement as an essential member of the Avengers, the superteam still isn't giving Ant-Man the respect he deserves. In a new preview for Ant-Man #3 by Marvel Comics, the Avengers confirmed they still don't respect the bug-themed hero after leaving him behind on a mission. However, Scott Lang's daughter Cassie tells him he should be given much more admiration as a hero, considering he helped save the world against the world's biggest threats - and she's right.

The Avengers might work as a team, but there seems to be a clear hierarchy among its greatest heroes. While the likes of Captain America, Thor, and Doctor Strange are often celebrated as being powerhouses, a few heroes often don't get the same respect as their teammates. Most famously, Hawkeye is considered somewhat of a joke among the Avengers, as his lack of powers has made him a punching bag among the team. Another hero who has been the butt of jokes is Ant-Man. And in a new story, the hero gets openly disrespected by Earth's Mightiest Heroes, confirming he's unfairly viewed by them.

In a new preview for Ant-Man #3 by Al Ewing, Tom Reilly, and Jordie Bellaire from Marvel Comics, the miniseries shifts its focus to Scott Lang's Ant-Man. The comic begins with a bang, as Captain Marvel calls a "code cosmic" and for "all hands on deck" amidst an ongoing crisis. However, when Ant-Man, who is one of Marvel's coolest heroes, asks if he's needed, Iron Man tells him to sit back, and they will "get back" to him. While Ant-Man tells Iron Man he could be useful with his shrinking tech, Marvel confirms the Avengers don't respect the hero, which his daughter Cassie calls out.

Ant-Man Deserves The Avengers Respect

The continued disrespect of Ant-Man from his fellow Avengers is confirmed, showing that Earth's Mightiest Heroes foolishly aren't thinking about how beneficial bringing him on deadly missions could be. Ant-Man's shrinking tech allows him to go places other Avengers can't. And, as Cassie puts it, he's not one of the little guys, as his actions, such as when Ant-Man played a key MCU role in defeating Thanos, make him a very important hero.

The Avengers' disrespect of Ant-Man and non-powered heroes is disappointing as you'd think the group by now would realize that every member, regardless of their specific powers, deserves to be treated like an equal. Ant-Man is on the Avengers for a reason, and the team still doesn't respect him despite his willingness to help and relentlessly positive attitude. If anything, Marvel confirms the Avengers don't deserve Ant-Man.
