Avengers 4 Fan Poster Unites Remaining Heroes Under Annihilation Title

New work from prolific fan artist BossLogic imagines an Avengers 4 poster using the rumored subtitle "Annihilation." With post-production on the follow-up to 2018's mega-hit Infinity War well underway - indeed, obligatory reshoots on the film have already wrapped - fans are wondering when the fourth Avengers movie will receive an official title.

But thanks to a recent posting on a Russian social media site, many believe the title has already been leaked. According to this new supposed reveal, the fourth Avengers movie will carry the subtitle "Annihilation." In fact, that particular title rumor has already been floated out there before. Different possible titles have previously been "leaked" including Avengers: End Game and Avengers: Eternity War. Needless to say, none of the supposed titles have been anywhere near confirmed by anyone actually involved with the movie, so all should be taken with a grain of salt.

Not to be dissuaded by the lack of confirmation, prolific fan artist BossLogic has taken the newest Avengers 4 title rumor and run with it to create an unofficial Avengers: Annihilation poster. One has to look closely to pick out the tiny figures of the Avengers showing up around the chaotic location. Note how BossLogic alters the color scheme in the areas around the various characters. The word "Annihilation" itself takes on a purple hue in obvious tribute to Thanos. See the poster below:

With details on Avengers 4 being kept very hush-hush, fans are naturally extra eager to engage in wild speculation, and many of them are taking that a step further by creating their own art. A recent "leaked" trailer description even inspired one video artist to dive into his catalog of clipart and create a full Avengers 4 trailer. The recent casting of Katherine Langford in an unnamed role also inspired one artist to imagine the actress as Kate Bishop's Hawkeye. More fan art envisioned Iron Man and Pepper Potts' rescue team-up.

Actual details about the movie of course remain scarce, but according to one recent reveal, Tilda Swinton is set to return as The Ancient One. Another reveal says Frank Grillo's Crossbones will return in flashbacks. As always, these little teases only serve to build anticipation for the movie, which was already going to be arguably the most-anticipated film of 2019 even without the boost. Fans dying to know more about how Avengers 4 will tackle Thanos are expected to at least get a first trailer by the end of 2018. And no doubt, that first trailer will only kick the speculation machine into overdrive.
