[Potential Avengers 4 Spoilers Ahead]

New set photos from Avengers 4 continue to tease time travel as Captain America is shown in his original The Avengers costume. Marvel Studios is in the final stages of filming the fourth Avengers movie, and the info that has come out to this point has sparked tons of speculation. Fans have yet to even see more than a trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, but attention is already on what comes next. This has resulted in a decent amount of teases for Avengers 4 making their way online.

Whether the info comes via set photos hinting at a flashback to The Avengers or teases of where Hawkeye will go next, many believe what comes after Infinity War will be a messed up timeline. That result may come via time travel or someone altering reality altogether. Either way, new set photos give further indications that something odd is happening.

Just Jared shared new photos from the set of Avengers 4. The photos feature a surprising team. Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) are seen on set together, but not only is the pairing surprising, so are their costumes. Ruffalo is in his traditional mo-cap suit, but Cap has his Avengers suit on, Stark has a S.H.I.E.L.D. track suit on, but Ant-Man has his updated suit. Adding more mystery to the equation, each are shown wearing some sort of device on their hands.

The combination of these characters and their new mystery gadgets is only going to add fuel to the theories that Avengers 4 deals heavily with time travel. Gone is Cap's Nomad-like suit (and his beard). If this is the older version of Cap, why is he with newer versions of Stark and Ant-Man? It doesn't add up in a typical sense, as there probably isn't a great reason from a story perspective to have Cap revert back to his classic look. Plus, if these scenes are replicating New York, we know Scott Lang didn't have the Ant-Man suit at that time, so it can't possibly be a flashback.

The small devices on their hands have no discernible markings on them, so we can't be sure what they are. Is this simply a new communication device for the Avengers? Probably not. But, it is definitely possible they can be used to jump through time. How they do that is anyone's guess, but the combination of Doctor Strange's magic, Ant-Man's presumed knowledge of the Quantum Realm after Ant-Man and the Wasp, and the team's several geniuses could probably figure it out. What exactly is happening here won't be revealed for quite some time, so enjoy speculating for now.
