Leaked Avengers 4 promotional artwork gives fans their best look yet at Captain America in next year's ensemble film. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Marvel Cinematic Universe's ultimate culminating film is set to wrap-up the franchise 22-movie arc as Earth's Mightiest Heroes battle Thanos possibly for the last time. And, of course, at the forefront of the fight is Steve Rogers alongside his original Avengers teammates.

It's no secret that Captain America was a bit sidelined in Avengers: Infinity War as the focus was mostly on Iron Man's and Thor's journeys. But the Russos promise that the Star Spangled Avenger will be back on the spotlight (alongside Black Widow) as he has his own intense arc in the still-untitled Avengers movie. Despite that, Steve Rogers was still a hot topic thanks to his glorious facial hair - which fans really like. Unfortunately, if this promo artwork for Avengers 4 comes to fruition,  it seems like the super soldier is back to his usual clean-shaven look.

Courtesy of artist AJ Design, on Twitter is a marketing image of Steve Rogers for Avengers 4 without his beard... and wearing his classic costume. The photo may be familiar with some fans considering that it's the same one used in the previously leaked ensemble concept art, but since it's bigger and clearer, fans can now examine the picture more thoroughly. Aside from Cap's facial hair, another key talking point in the image is his brand new suit which chainmail design was actually incorporated in his ripped costume in Infinity War. Check it out below:

It's best to not get too attached to Cap's suit though, as this is not the first time that promo art for the MCU featured him wearing the armor. A couple of merchandise for Captain America: Civil War featured Steve wearing his classic comic book uniform, but as fans know, it didn't make its big screen debut in the film. And since these artworks are not official first look releases from Marvel Studios, there's a good chance that this won't be Cap's present-day look which would be on top of him sporting his original costume at one point in the movie as revealed by previously leaked set photos.

Having said that, it would be really cool for Evans to rock the textured suit. But instead of it being purely an aesthetic change, it would be a good notion to think that it might actually have something to do with Tony Stark using his tech to give it some practical use. After all, Tony is known for tinkering on his pals' armors, and since it seems like he's added some new features to Rhodey's War Machine suit, it makes sense that he also works on Steve's.

At this point, it's still uncertain how much time has passed since the events of Infinity War when Avengers 4 picks up. Between the Avengers' time travel theories that might see the heroes go back and/or forward in time and Marvel Studios being so cagey about the movie, it's quite difficult to predict what will go down in the movie. The Russos, as well as the cast and crew of the much-anticipated blockbuster, are supposedly back to work with reshoots and additional filming scheduled to last through the whole summer. But if there's anything clear, the movie will feature the original six Avengers, alongside some of their surviving allies, as well as Captain Marvel and Ant-Man, attempt to save the universe from the predicament that Thanos left it in.
